The Boot Camp Clique Chronicles…

Sean Price – ‘Boom Bye Yeah'(explicit)

In our last Timberland drop the Grand Master asked me if I had a pair of Timbs that I would bring to a cobbler for re-soling. I have already had a vintage pair of elephant skin Iditarod boots given a new sole. I’ll flick up that pair of boots in a few days. Timberland shoes are pretty much indestructible, but when they do fail it almost is unfeasible to repair them. I mean, some of the materials and designs that Timberland uses on their shoes can’t be reproduced by a traditional bootsmith.

I have a pair now that is getting worn down. The style number is #59053. They are a pair of classic Gore-Tex moccasin chukkas. I will definitely try to have these re-soled because the boot upper is too comfortable to give back to Timberland. I’ve been wearing these boots since 1997 and they are broken in so perfect I would hate to lose these. I did a search on the eBay system for these joints in my size and the only pair that came up was in a size 9.5 being traded from London, UK.

You can see from the above image that the moc chukkas have a Gore-Tex lining. The Gore-Tex is actually sandwiched between the leather upper and a calfskin leather inner lining. I’ve worn these boots while camping for days without untying them because they are so comfortable. These are a pair of boots that I will be keeping forever. If I find the all-Black moc chukkas I will be extra good.

The all Browns is super hardbody too. These are like the legacy Timberland joints that I fux with. I wear the field boots (beef and broc) into the ground and try to preserve my classic joints.

  11. $yk! says:
