@ $YKOTIC: I had an ex- who dug the winter Olympic, some childhood memory of Lake Placid on tv; we even drove up once and checked out a bobsled event– i just remembered this after years of suppression, since we had stupid fights most of the rest of the time.
Anyway, tho’ the weird ass Olympic events are cool, I despise the ofay oooh and aaah over figure skating etc as much as I do the 12 year old GIRL’S gymastic shit that passes for sport in Summer. Factor in the politics and tv idiocy and I happily check the fuck out.
