Smacking Thunder Out The Lakeshow Moufs…

kdeezy

KD, Westbrook and the rest of the Thunder enjoy that home cooking.

29 pts – 19 boards

But better than all of that was an MVP 4th quarter against the best finisher in the Association.

Thunder will get one more joint in this series.

Next year KD will pwn the league.

    1. Chris Webber asked Kenny Smith to repeat his prophecy 3 times.
“Durant will be the best player in the NBA in 3 years.”

    2. Dallas Penn says next year.

    3. Charles Barkley is still riding the King James train hard. Webber also added that James will be trying to become Oscar Robertson – not!

    4. VEe! still can not get over the fact that the Knicks can not even make it to the post-season.

    5. And Michael Jordan will be trying to make the Bobcats a viable team next year. One of the Insided the NBA commentators mentioned that Jordan was not only an offensive threat like these youngins, he (along with Olajuwon) earned league MVP honors along with Defensive Player of the Year in the same year.

  2. Brahsef says:

Durants nice as fuck, but lets not get carried away. He’s killed it for one season, and people are already ready to crown him. He reminds me a fuck load of Tracy McGrady, a bit taller, but very similar smooth style game. God hope he avoids the injury bug that’s plagued McGrady.

Also, as unbelievable as it sounds, don’t sleep on Lebron averagin a trip double or coming damn close to it in a season. Every year his stats have gotten better and he still hasn’t reached the traditional peak years of 27-30.

The L is in great form right now. Talent all over the place.

  3. The Lakers problem, as pointed out by Stu Nantz last night, is that without Kobe, there’s no explosive power. Shannon Brown is still aways from harnassing his horses for that ankle breakage. I agree though, professor. Them boys got one more in them. I started to email you last night, but fuck it, since I’m here…

    WESTBROOK IS A BEAST!!!!

Sure, Durantula is definitely ready for prime time, but Westbrook is the unexpected star that will sit in high places in The Association for many years to come. I noticed, in this series, when Durant has no options available, Westbrook is right there to pick up the slack. He’s getting slept-on right now. Harden is too iffy, & Chewbacca just wants to jump all the time.

& as a die hard Laker Fan(atic), I must say, if they don’t turn it up a few notches after this series (which they’ll win-this we know), it may be the end of the season.

Will the real Ron Artest please stand up?!?!

  4. Mark Dub says:

I’m gonna go ahead and get on the Thunder bandwagon this year so that y’all will have forgotten that I jumped on by this time next year. Durantuala, Westbrook and Thunder go all the way next year!!! I’m just playing…the youngin will need a few more years…and for Kobe to either retire or become paraplegic (and he’d still prolly average at least 19 pts a game).

  5. ^^^
    Haha!

Yeah, dude just beat Jerry West for all-time lakers playoff points last night. He’s going nowhere, no time soon.

& that’s gonna contribute to Lebron, because James is a monster, but as long as Kobe stays in the game, Lebron will be playing catch up. Only then can the “who’s better” debate really grow wings.

  6. If Rajon Rondo & Lil Mama had a set of fraternal twin boys, they would be Lil Bow Wow & Westbrook.

gotta grab the bull by the horns WHEN you have a chance…

that next year talk never pans out

the kings were supposed to be the NEXT team in the webber era

the hornets were supposed to be the next team just 2 years ago…..

injuries happen…coaches get fired…..dumb trades are made

this okc team is not playing….lakers are lallygagging and are ripe for an upset…

I didn’t believe it at first…but the thunder aren’t phased or intimidated by the moment..they need to go all out….

    ========================

  8. getthesenets says:

Rondo is too young to have that first name… Ra-john is a 70s baby name….

I knew 3 dudes with that name

  9. “Lakers are lallygagging and are ripe for an upset”

    ^^^
Blood is in the water. Thunder may not be capable for going in for the kill, but Phoenix & Denver are not playing.

  10. getthesenets says:

The west is wide open this year…

I actually like Dallas’s chances this year…the team…not the internets celebrity

  11. If the Lakers go all the way this year, it won’t be because of ‘The Black Mamba Show.’ It’ll be a collective effort from the entire squad, especially the bench.

  12. How could I forget the Mav’s.

  13. getthesenets says:

    You know what, TG?

I never understood the entire “he makes other players BETTER” argument…

    Kobe is a given..proven superstar,scorer, and CLUTCH shooter…

like you said, if the other grown men on his team just execute they’ll probably win

nobody on the lake show will ever see a double team on any play, outside of kobe… just execute the play….don’t rub vanishing cream over yourself..and get a ring…

I think caron butler and brendan haywood put the mavs over the top this year….dirk is a good (regular season) player….not clutch though.. hopefully kidd, terry, and company can step up in the clutch…

  14. the_dallas says:

    Get,
Four(4) more commenters like you and I would have the NJ Nets starting squad

  15. BIGNAT says:

you are right Get the mavs got a squad but with that 7ft soft spot on the team. they will never get a ring dirk is a very good player but when the game is close you put pressure on him from half court. force him to try to score in the paint and he doesn’t like it. the key to beating the mavs is get someone to shadow kidd to stop the ball movement and rough up dirk. forcing the other people to pick up the slack. just like when nash was there. you stop nash and make it hard for dirk to score. you could pull out a win

  16. getthesenets says:

Dals. get those other 4 nets…. and then (my username)

nah…I’m a JERSEY giants fan since 1980….hated the rest of the NFC east….I’m predisposed to be in opposition to anything with “dallas” in the name….
I never smoked “philly” blunts either for similar reasons( plus guru said white owls burn slower…..plus i’m a drinker not a smoker)….I used to think the redskins were “washington state’s” team….and the cardinals were a joke since I was a kid…

    don’t “take it personal”…

I just want kidd to get a ring because that dude almost single handedly made the Nets winners….

    ========================

    Yeah Nat,

parker, ginobili are the only euro-players with HEART in clutch situations… the rest fold under pressure like lou ferrigno on coke..

A few years back….Magic and Bird were being interviewed….guy asked them whether Nowitski and Stoyakovich were the new era Birds….Magic got heated and said “these guys can’t carry Larry Bird’s jockstrap….only thing they have in common is being white”

    You can’t WIN if a euro-player is your go-to guy…
parker and ginobili are the exceptions…

  17. the_dallas says:

Ginobili isn’t even Euro but I agree he is clutch. Toni Kukoc ended up being a damn good player in his own right tho’. But my all time fave Euro player was Drazen and even tho’ that Nets team never even made a trip to the ‘chip they were the best incarnation of the Jersey boys

  18. getthesenets says:

    ok see Dals…

Drazen was THAT dude……NBA politics kept him out of the all star game his last year and broke his heart….and then it fell apart but Petrovich was THAT player..league has BEEn shitting on the nets… they gave dumars , Drazen’s spot that year…

Ginobili is Argentinian and Italian…. and I think his background is having played in the euro pro leagues… that’s what I mean by a euro player…

Parker also….he’s was killing out there in belgium, france or wherever he was…

Kukoc was good…..multi skilled…but soft..only clutch basket I can think of him making was the game pippen refused to go in and throw the inbound pass.

Schrempf, and Marcellonis were nice too,

We saw sabonis after he’d had knee injuries and was fat,,but HE WAS that dude..for real……he was 40% of what he was when he got here and you could still see the skills…..

  19. getthesenets says:

the bulls front office has always been on that bullshit…. the year they decided to get kukoc…..and give him mad money…jordan and pippen were on the dream team…and they wanted to see what kukoc was made of… he wilted…punked out

there’s clips of Drazen…same night same fight…..BUSTING Jordan’s ass…and talking WILD shit to him while doing so…

if my memory serves me correctly kukoc and drazen were on the same team….. that was before those yugoslavia region countries split up….
THAT team was BALLING….dudes with “vic”‘ova” “vac” at the end of their names….I think they’re the reason the pros started playing in the olympics cause they were straight murdering the college kids…

  20. the_dallas says:

    Get,
Schrempf!!! That is who Dirk is. Detlef had wild shots but he could get leaned on in the postseason. Same as Dirk.

Euro players were still an oddity in the league when Drazen was killing shit. He was sick with game too.

*digs thru Upper Deck card collection. snail mails Get Drazen and Derrick cards*

  21. getthesenets says:

    appreciate that Dals,

thinking of what could have been

kennny anderson, drazen and mr. whoop de damn do …all young…and improving

  22. getthesenets says:

yo…my man just called me and said that the “THUNDER won’t beat the Lakers even if they had THOR himself playing center”

gonna watch the end of the game to see who shows up….

  23. getthesenets says:

    ^^

Dude who made the Thor comment is kissing a lot of Asgard today

    🙂
