Suffer Thy Knickerbockers…

the curse

The Knicks are cursed. This is the only way to explain the fact that the Knicks have sucked ass since 1999. Some people are calling it the Curse of Patrick Ewing for the way the captain was unceremoniously dumped from the Garden.

But what about the curse of Bernard King, or even the curse of Trent Tucker’s Freeway beard?

I think it’s the curse of Hubiestein or maybe Hubie Brown’s jewfro. That shit was horrendous.

the curse

Just like this Knicks team now with a franchise superstar 7 footer who can’t board or defend the block.

This current Knicks team is gonna go thru some pretty ugly losses before they turn the corner to something beautiful.

the curse

Well at least we still have the Knicks City Dancers to look at…

Just ask Patrick Ewing.

  1. Something went terribly wrong, psychologically, with this team in the last years of Van Gundy and– although I admit I ** QUIT ** a few years into the 21st century, it’s no surprise things haven’t gotten better, even without the Jesus freaks (Charlie Ward, Allan Houston) who thought “the creator who makes all things possible” gave a fuck whether they made the three or got the foul.

For the hardcore fans who’d blame ME and every other right thinking fan for the Knicks failure (right, remember this?

Sidenote: Xavier McDaniel might be my #1 short-time Knick, he was great fit and worker.

I miss Clyde and Dontrevius but nothing else about this franchise that damn near killed ball in NYC, not that the motherfucking Nets are or will be any better.

DP, I watched that Georgetown – Villanova game where the announcers were heralding Ewing as if he were the second coming. I looked at his tired, sagging face, and knew in my heart he was nothing of the sort. Time has proven me correct.

After the Jordan-Pippin-Rodman time of the Bulls was over, so was my relationship with Basketball…

I still wish LeBron went to the knicks. Like who wouldn’t want to lift NY to the promised land. One chip and you’d be a god. And the jerseys are too fresh.

Not everyone is built for the lights of NYC, Bron being candidate #1 to that concept.

Fact – Amare is about 6’9″ and would own the league if he had the hustle of the team’s previously great boardman David Lee.

Fact – Their insistence on making Gallinari as much the focus as Amare will hold them back. He’s not ready.

This team will be fighting for the 8th seed every year so long as Jimmy Dolan is at the helm.

Knicks will still make the playoffs.

    WSW,
1992 was a great year. The Knicks couldn’t elevate past the Bulls but I still loved that team so much. X-Man was monster until Jordan silenced him once and for all. His knees weren’t like in the Seattle years. When I reminisce…

    Dave,
Patrick Ewing was a great player. Unfortunately Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon were both a little greater.

i would say the curse of the Dolans…

go get Steve Nash…or Rudy Fernandez (son got game they just riding NoKnee Roy’s nuts)…

    then snatch up Melo…

    that’s an at worst #4 seed team…

  8. LEX says:

I like the idea of Rudy Fernandez being a knick. I know he wants more playing time.. is he a free agent next year? Anywho, the Knicks are always finding new and innovative ways to lose.. great post, there is no explanation further than they are cursed.. They’ve had plenty of talent and coaching staffs that have been successful elsewhere, but they just can not win anymore..

  9. sYk says:

^ Rudy been trying to get traded since last season, caught fines going public with it…

was gonna boycott this season…since B(roken) Roy is hurt, he’s getting more PT, but some rookie starts ova him…

Rudy’s a perfect fit (nh) for that Knickerbocker team…

if we wanna talk cursed, how ’bout them Blazers?
