wow wouldnt have thought you was a fan of breslin his last book the good rat is crazy( about 2 cops ikilling people for the mob , he wrote to a large fanbase.
Props to Khal for the Q&A– folks is talking to the kid now like they did James Baldwin. In the past I might have put the (II) suffix there but not anymore. Good look on the Jimmy Breslin reference; his recent small book on Branch Rickey is worthwhile (shout to 40 Deez); “The Short Sweet Dream of Eduardo Gutierrez”– about a Mexican construction worker drowned in concrete in Williamsburg late 1990s– a masterpiece of street empathy.
One selfish request: definitely pursue features in all ways but don’t let your filmic ambitions be constrained by the endless inevitable fuckery of the Hollywood & New York money machines. The Blucheez and ICs work so far is excellent and I expect you’ll only get better. Dontrevius 2012!
Dope Q&A. I had never read the entry about your father & lil bro until now. My younger bro passed when he was really young & it still hurts to this day. Keep doing you thing Dallas & continue to make people smile.
