The Black Weblog Awards Do Not Care About Straight Bloggers…

or, HOMO THUGS ARE RUNNIN’ THIS BLOG SHIT!

I am sorry that I got you folks involved in this whole fiasco of a clusterfuck. I normally call people gay for no good reason, but the administration of the 2006 Black Weblog Awards are all really homos. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but when it comes to things like integrity and fair play if a man thinks he’s a woman then he is likely to cheat if it serves his agenda. Women can’t help that part of their nature, blame Eve, the apple and the snake.

In the last weeks of this boondoggle the administrators decided to allow people to vote as many times as they would like, forgoing the foundation of democracy which is one man, one vote. I guess if everyone has their gender all kerflooey then the one man principle can’t be applied. I’m not bitter either because I had a feeling that the fix was in when I started to read some of the blogs that had been nominated. I’m not saying that a blog isn’t official if it’s not on my blogroll, but you should know how many blogs I added to my list – 0. Word!

Actually RAFI from Oh Word was holding me down because he believes in the goodness of man. He thought that if you hollered at the administration they would put their shit together proper like. I told dude that these cats were ‘chicks with sticks’ and they couldn’t be trusted. I thank everyone that took their time to nominate me but we have better things to do over here than accept awards for anything. New Orleans is still fucked the fuck up. Iraq is still fucked the fuck up. And the Bronx is still fucked the fuck up. I have sacred cows to slaughter so I can’t slow my roll to take an award from anyone. Let’s get back to our grizzly and leave the Black weblog awards people to their own grind.

I always said if BOL isn’t even nominated something is gotta be up, but I have no say in such matters.

Ghey as all get out. Ghey like a three dollar bill. Eh, better to find out quickly then having the whole thing sneak up behind you. Sure, they’ll bend over backwards for the winners of the fix but that kind of love is just unatural and, put simply, ghey.

Eh, I think Dallas is too good for this kind of award anyway, as always . . . Work is the reward. May more work come your way because of this blog Dallas and let those losers keep the “awards.”

The prizes that this one and the “Bloggies” offer are always some shit like a $23 voucher to scentedcandles.com – gimme a break!

  4. Tia says:

I feel you 100 straight up, but we ALL already know you’re the winner where it REALLY COUNTS…fuck the dumb shit and those Prizes a la Wack. As Lil Kim would say, we got “no time for fake ones” no way.

    LMAO @ Robbie *dap*

Lol, I don’t know what you heard Dallas, but if you blog, by definition, then you’re gay. So don’t go blaming “homos” and “chicks with sticks” for you being lame and week. But it’s a good thing you’re not bitter, right? 🙂

    Well, here we go. LOL.

The noms and winners of the BWAs were generated by the folk. The BWA admins didn’t recommend or throw any names into the hat. To that end, it could be argued that more the BWAs are promoted by non-gay black bloggers, then those sites stand a better chance of being nominated and winning. The BWAs are still in their infancy, so as they grow, things might even out a bit. Additionally, a lot of the sites that were nominated and won really aren’t gay blogs. NAH RIGHT won 2 awards.

While I agree that it’s not only ignorant but negligent to allow Crunk & Disorderly and Concrete Loop to make the finals for Best Hip-Hop Blog (the BWA admins should’ve known better but screw common sense), there weren’t THAT many discrepancies.

I’ve exchanged soem words with Rafi over this, so it might’ve appeared that since my site didn’t appear in any capacity on the BWA site that it’s the reason I damn-near quit my site. But that’s not the case and that allows me to be a bit more objective about the situation. Your readers are in the position to pump your URL and it’s up to the bloggers to actively campaign if it means that much to them.

So let’s be fair about this and stop kicking around the Gay Mafia shit. If there is indeed a Black Gay Blogger Mafia, the only thing they can be accused of is participation.
