JAY-Z Does Not Care About Lowenbrau…

hovey baby

I just saw the bastardized version of the ‘Show Me What You Got’ music video that has been recrafted into a Budweiser commercial. All the screenshots are the same except for this gay Anheuser-Busch logo that appears constantly as if the activities were all made better by Budweiser.

Somebody figure this out for me…

Anheuser-Busch owns the Cardinals right? JAY-Z owns part of the Nets. A group of people including Yankees owner GEORGE STEINBRENNER and real estate magnate BRUCE RATNER own the balance of the Nets. JAY-Z is now a paid consultant for Anheuser-Busch which means that he is ultimately taking money from another MLB owner. Good thing that the Yankees aren’t in the playoffs any longer because there looks to be some ‘conflict of interest’ paperwork that should have been completed.

Anheuser-Busch sold the Cardinals and Busch Stadium between the 1995 and 1996 seasons. The team is now owned by by a group chaired by noted G-Dubbz homie and campaign contributer Bill DeWitt Jr. The new Busch Stadium kept the Busch name under a naming-rights agreement. The Cardinals were old man Gussie Busch’s passion. After he died in 1989 the next generation of Busches treated the team as a corporate division and later decided it was too much of a liability and sold it. My condolences to all the NY peeps pulling for the Mets in the NLCS. It will be nice to see two classic MLB teams from the midwest get a little shine in the World Series, although the I’m sure no one on either coast will watch it and the TV ratings will bomb.

^thanks Fam for straightening me out with the Cards ownership details. Too bad St.Louis doesn’t have any reputable platinum rappers of their own that Anheuser could tap to do their ‘urban’ promo.

Oh that’s right, there is that kid from the Lunatics that just got tasered by the cops so bad that he left some brown chocolate butter in his drawls.

^also just returning from Shea Stadium…

LM, bases loaded with 1 down heart of the lineup and you can’t push one across?!? Them boys didn’t have the determination or the desperation.

Maybe next year. Still a dozen ‘Vote For Pedro’ shirts left.

Dallas, damn those gun-wrenching, heart-crushing, ambition-killing Mets…lol. It seems Jay found his du-rag. I thought he threw that out for good.

Yeah I saw the Ali story. It was kind of a big story here on the local tv stations and the newspaper, especially when you consider we’re talking about a baggage handler. Ali might actually be poised for a come-up. I hear the Kinfolks record is going to be the SHIT (pun definately intended). You’re right about St. Louis’s platinum rappers not being very reputable. Even factoring in the hometown connection I still can’t bring myself to embrace Nelly’s minstrel show rappin’. If Anheuser Busch wanted to rep for the STL they should have brought in Sylk Smoov or O’mar the Grandmaster Lover. That would be a marketing plan I could get down with.

    DP,

That was some catch Endy made in the sixth, eh? I didn’t see that live; caught only the eighth and ninth on the telly. Yeah, not Amazing the way the Mets went down in the bottom of the eighth. You can’t score one run at home with a lineup including Reyes, Beltran, Delgado and Wright. But Jeff Suppan (ex-Red Sox!) has turned into the playoff Jack Morris (minus the complete games).

    LM,

We Met fans thought it was going to be our pitching that let us down. Come to find out that Albert Pujols had 1 RBI this series!? WTF?!?! Guys should be kicking themselves all winterball because you never know if and when you can climb the mountain again.

My final assessment is that there are too many guys wearing girlpants, Puma sneakers and bluetooth cellphones at the stadium for the Mets to win. People didn’t realize that Endy made the catch until after the double play. His defense has been a revelation. His bat was there against LA, but not so much against StL.

Chavez is also from Venezuela too. Prah’lee no relation to Hugo, but still a young bad azz in the making.

I am so saddened by the Mets. Sigh….

Great catch by Endy. I thought the “miracle” Mets were back for a shining moment….

But to strand runners with the bases loaded in Game 7? Our bats were silent at the wrong time.

Brewsky in the suit coat pocket is some funny ish…

This is why I couldn’t stand Yankee fans as they morphed from normal blue collar sports fans to the pride and joy of the Metrosexuals & Fashionistas. Not a good look for the Joe Six Pack fans… But now they’re moving into beloved Shea?!??!?

PS – With all this beer talk I couldn’t take it. Yes I have a 40 sitting in the fridge of the pantry at the (financial firm) I work for. Granted it’s swathed in Duane Reade bags but its damn sure going down (NO YOUNG JOC) on the LIRR come 5:00.

I just hope the Detroit vs St. Louis world series is competitive. What happen to the mets Bats? Endy made a hell of a catch though!

On Friday’s between the alcohol and the poker/solataire being played on the PDA’s, the LIRR (especially on a friday’s) is like a mobile casino.

    LMAO. I’m rolling right now.

You factor in the iPods and you damn near got a night club… The funny thing is the look I get from all the 24 oz. can drinkers when I pull out the big guns (40). Even more when I’m polishing off #2 when I’m getting off the train 40 mins later…

    TGIF.
