I really need someone from to throw me a ticket to the Rock The Bells concert here on NYC’s Randall’s Island. I remember when Lollapalooza came to Randall’s Island back in 1995. I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers and GEORGE CLINTON tear down the stage. And then the following year Sonic Youth and the Wu were my favorite sets.
New York City hasn’t seen an outdoor festival concert of this magnitude in over a decade. Have you seen the bill for the Rock The Bells shows? This shit has to be the greatest concert lineup ever in the history of mankind. This is like the Pope performing with Jesus, Zeus and Buddha on the second stage.

tickets are still available for Sundays show. And as strange as it sounds, I don’t think Nas is playing the NY shows. At least he’s not listed at Ticketmaster. And Rakim and Doom are listed for Sundays show and not Saturday. I would double check the line-up because they’re different for every city and they keep changing it around.

1) That photo of all the kids in Wu shirts was my shit like 5 years ago when I was a message board junkie. That tiny blonde girl has a look in her eyes like she is ready to slash your throat for a tic-tac. Fantastic nostalgia on the photo!
2) I was at Lollapalooza at Randall’s Island in 94 and 95. I wonder if we crossed paths at the 95 show.
3) If tickets for the Sunday show are available, get one. I got mine! Chea!
Seriously though the Sunday show has Rakim in place of EPMD. Not kidding.
