The Greatest British Movie. Evar…

snatch

I just watched ‘Snatch’ again for the fifty-eleventh time and I laughed out loud just like I did the very first time. That shit is good like that. Combat Jack swears to me that ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ is better than ‘Snatch’ but I’m a little skeptical. I mean, look at the star power of the ‘Snatch’ cast. BRAD PITT, BENICIO DEL TORO, the dude from ‘The Transporter’ flicks. ‘Snatch’ is that shit party people.

Since I copped two DVD’s at the 2-fer-$10 table in Circuit City I will send out a copy of ‘Snatch’ to the first person who can tell me which diminutive cRapper will star in GUY RITCHIE’s next big budget film.

    I don’t know….TI?

But Snatch is a great movie.

  2. nomad says:

    Snatch is the business!!

  3. Nigeria says:

Respectful as I am, I’m going to have to disagree. Speaking as a Londoner. Snatch is not the greatest ‘British’ film ever, not even top fifty- if there is a top fifty.

Of the top of my head I can think of ‘A Clockwork Orange’, ‘Kes’ and ‘Monty Pythons Life of Brian’ and ‘Trainspotting’ and a couple more if I tried to think hard enough.

  4. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’

^^this is better DP I love that movie

Check My Post today DP, I got a new My Hood Celebrity Look-a-Like

  5. Layer Cake is dope and so is Kidulthood ………..and I win cuz Luda is in Guy Ritchies next movie and that movie should be fiyyyyyyaaaaaaaa

  6. manatarms says:

  7. Tiffany says:

  8. smog says:

lock stock does have that weed theme, but is not as well put together as snatch,

  9. nomad says:

    Trainspotting, dude? Hell no!!

  10. Amadeo says:

Layer Cake was the joint too. “Welcome to the Layer Cake my son.” Then again I just like British accents cause when they curse it still sounds proper.

  11. mkithrt says:

    mos def.

    layer cake makes me moist.

  12. dexter says:

    ludacris?

  13. J™ says:

Co-sign Combat Jack on Lock Stock. The pellet gun scene alone beats all of Snatch.

Maaaan, heist movies are my cinematic crack. I could only watch Snatch, Lock Stock, and Usual Suspects for the rest of my life and be happy.

  14. FreshWilliams says:

ludacris. the movie is rocknrolla or some shit like that. Not that it matters, like four people already guessed luda anyway. fuck you bastards, i should be winning the goddamn dvd hahahah

  15. Sordid Puppy says:

I dunno, Snatch was tripe compared to Lock Stock if y’ask me…but y’didnt.

The British gangster movie that will eat all the movies you have mentioned is………………

    GANGSTER NO. 1

    There is no denying.

  16. Word CJ is right my dude…Lock Stock is waaaaaaaaay better.

  17. Reptile says:

Snatch was the ish…opened the door for Layer Cake.

Another lesser known British ganster flick Charlie is nice.

  18. yobroshot says:

Snatch has more to the movie than Lock Stock. Much more color in the cast as far as personalities and multiple storylines within the movie. Lock Stock is still fun. I rate them equally, despite all this.

  19. FreshWilliams says:

Honestly, I think both movies sort of suck the noodles. Guy Ritchie hasn’t made a good movie since then anyway, what with him having his face stuffed in that rotten madonna poon

  20. 40 says:

Rory Breaker = British Hardbody Blackamoor…

“We sell copious amounts of ganja here!”

I gotta go with CJ “Lock, Stock” gets the slight edge over “Snatch”. However both shit on “Pulp Fiction” IMO…

  21. dronkmunk says:

I am a lock stock man meself

“If you don’t want to start countin’ the fingers you ‘avent got, you better find those guns! QUICK!”

  22. You gotta get the SNATCH special edition DP, that one has a subtitle track JUST for BP’s character. This movie is a brit broohaha, pure comedy. When the cable goes off, this is usually in the top three.

Hence the phrase “As greedy as a pig….”

    ^^^^^^^^

Sad but True. The “virgin” really did an Erykah Badu on that Guy.

  24. Dart_Adams says:

    In my opinion:

Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrells
    Gangster No. 1
    Essex Boys
    Layer Cake

    THEN
    Snatch

It’s most def one of my favorites, though along with Kidulthood and Bullet Boy. One.

  25. Sordid Puppy says:

    layer cake is miserable

  26. andre 3000….revolver

  27. should be revolover cuz it hasnt released stateside has it?

  28. nevermind…its rocknrolla and ludacris

  29. Layer Cake wasnt that bad. It gave E pills the starring role they so long deserved.

    That and Bad Boys 2.

  30. dubble13 says:

    SNATCH rules!
Lock, Stock is nowhere as good…

  31. thoreauly77 says:

  32. dutch sun says:

    sexy beast hands down
watch ghandi get savage as fuck

  33. cajun peach says:

why are the british movie always the best? i loved lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels…

  34. 40 says:

^Because they’ve been doing this for years. They’ve had this theatre/drama thing on smash since Chaucer, and all we’ve done is rip off and abuse the Queen’s English for we are a rogue nation of uncultured derelicts. Also in the first American drama – The American Revolution the brother once again dies first. RIP Crispus Attucks.

  35. Combat Jack says:

also, 28 weeks and days later!

  36. Ricky Choo says:

Have to side with CJ on this one! As good as Snatch may be, it cannot fuck with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels!

C’mon! Just because of the strengh of Rory Breaker!

“If the milk turns out to be sour, I ain’t the kinda pussy to drink it.”

“If you hold back anything, I’ll kill ya. If you bend the truth or I think your bending the truth, I’ll kill ya. If you forget anything I’ll kill ya. In fact, you’re gonna have to work very hard to stay alive, Nick. Now do you understand everything I’ve said? Because if you don’t, I’ll kill ya.”

    *Dies*

  37. EMBRY says:

Its Ludacris, but save the DVD for someone who really needs it. Dennis Farina in Snatch with his sarcastic comments was enough for me to have it on PSP also.

  38. EMBRY says:

Also, thanks for biggin up Snatch i thought my wife and I were the only people who thought this was the best british movie ever.

  39. Amadeo says:

    Rory Breaker was ill.

  40. Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels has several sub plots going on at one time, raw manic attitudes, and a cast portraying a vast army of mentally defective rejects all on each others asses. The brother with the Afro alone is worth the price of admission. There is hardly a minute in the film where the dialogue does not bite you on the ass and make you laugh or groan.
There is a even sicker, more sinister movie from England starring the DJ Goldie which will make you give it two thumbs up for it’s perverted world view alone.
Snatch is second runner up to the Goldie film and a clear third to LS&2SBarrels. Ernie Paniccioli author of “Who Shot Ya?”

  41. F says:

i remember going to the theater to see Snatch for no particular reason and being blown away. Incredible movie. She falls asleep during it though, which i guess is one of those ‘to each their own’ things. Ditto for Lock Stock. Classics.

  42. That girl is just fantastic, I mean a lot seems to think she is dumb but that’s just an act, it does require some skills to become one of the most famous people in the world.
