The Association 2008: ‘Bout To Get In That Anus [ll]

iverson
Don’t look now, but if them Nuggets get in I promise you a top seed (Hornets) will fall.

New Orleans 52 22
San Antonio 52 23
L.A. Lakers 51 24
Utah 50 26
Phoenix 50 25
Houston 49 25
Dallas 47 28
Denver 46 29
*Golden State 45 30

*I hope GS gets swapped for the Mavericks

This is the seeding that I want in place for the Nuggets improbable run to the ‘chip. Denver can beat New Orleans in the first round.

I need Utah to top Phoenix in their first round series because the Nuggets can beat the Jazz.

Hopefully we see a Lakers vs. Spurs divisional tilt with the Lake Show prevailing in order to give us a Western Conference Finals that features the Lakers against the Nuggets.

Denver in seven.

I’d love to see the Nugs in the finals … only because that would mean the Green in 5 for #17.

  2. evan says:

No fucking way someone with a name as soft as Carmelo is going to the Finals and the Jazz will whup em. Don’t forget that George Karl is coaching and no team is going to the bricks for a coach they don’t like.

i can’t wait for the nuggets to get in… hornets will fall

  4. 40 says:

    Calling it now…

Lakers vs. Celtics in an NBA ratings SMASH. With Garnett hoisting up his first chip, followed by an emotional breakdown a la Bill Russell and David Stern is the official Emperor at the Colosseum smiling at the success of his games…

  5. N.O.N. says:

anybody actually watch the denver-hornets games this season? or any other hornets game? please let that series happen.

  6. 911 says:

I don’t have that much faith in Denver sustaining any defensive effort. I think Chris Paul is underrated. Unbelievable.
    Chris Paul > Allen Iverson.
I’m a reformed A.I stan [II] (remembers spending hours perfecting “the crossover” in my backyard with both hands)

Take this for instance if A.I & Cp3 switched teams which team would be better?

I really don’t know what will happen in the West. Every game is a must-win game.

^40, Even if the Lakers and the Celtics made the Finals, I pretty much doubt it can come close to Magic’s Lakers vs. Larry Bird’s Celtics. They had a rivalry that began at the collegiate level.

  8. Frank says:

Dallas- You are bugging. Point blank, period.

Duly noted but it would be a ratings and merchandising bonanza…plus do you think that us Boston fans are gonna care if (when) the Celtics win #17 after having just 24 wins last season?

What Up Big Rils? What Up 40? These men see the future.

    One.

  10. evan says:

@Dart : Now I don’t believe it will happen since Boston has real depth and young talent on the bench, but what if they win the title and do like my Heat did just 2 seasons later. Imagine after a 24 win season that they bring the chip and in 09/10 no more KG/Allen/Cassell and straight back to the middle or bottom of the East.

    I’d celebrate.

  11. N.O. in my viens says:

all this would come true if the nuggets actually heard of defense…hornets arent gonna loose to the nuggets…or the lakers or spurs or suns…we just need the jazz to loose…

  12. the_dallas says:

I think you are mistaking a regular season for the actual playoffs. Chris Paul is the joint, but he ain’t built for pro basketball in June just yet.

  13. Incilin says:

I don’t get how you can think Denver is that good. They have absolutely no team chemistry, despite all their talent.

  14. OhLord says:

George Karl is one of the worst coaches in the league. They play no defense and you’ve seen how far that got GS last year and Phoenix for the past 3 or 4. You must be drinking mad dog with a twist of 151. Denver may beat New Orleans thats bout it.

  15. Mark Dub says:

Are you serious? I hope that matchup happens too…b/c the hornets will bang Denver out real quickly. The Hornets play defense, and they actually like their coach. Y’all are doing the dope if you believe Denver can beat N.O. Chris Paul…MVP
