Never in my life did I think UCB would be at a show with Blu and Exile. Something just seems way off about that. Call me old fashioned, but I liked when gogo bands were just doing covers of old Tupac songs and being all ‘gangsta’ and shit.
Plus its so weird they’re in NYC. And Wale lives in SoHo?! WTF.
Wake me up, I must be dreaming.

Caught Blu & Exile in DC friday night and the show was off the hook. Exile played a beat live off the MPC without looking and even took a shot at rapping with Blu at one point. Right about now, i’m not sure anyone can touch Blu. I knew he was a great MC, but he’s a showman too.
Why is it i’ve been in DC for over a year and been checking for a Wale show in the area since last summer and keep coming up empty? Can we get a show in your hometown? … guess i’ll just wait till rock the bells.

And expect less Wale shows in the area. He was def doing a lot of them (peep his myspace for a list of upcoming shows) but now that he moved…I bet it will decrease.

How Clipse and Wale will balance themselves out is beyond me…but that’s a DMV show right there.

Blu & Exile stay winning. Them dudes are the truth. Wale did his thing. U.C.B. got their shit off. Underground rap music is going mainstream. Go-Go music is back on top. It’s a great time to love Hip-Hop.
