CARLIN knew that he could get away with some shit that PRYOR couldn’t. CARLIN didn’t give a fuck either. Maybe he gave too much of a fuck.

The one thing that I really respect about Carlin was that he was a prolific writer. Unlike many comedians who recycles themes, Carlin really took his time and carefully thought out his material.
I always thought that Carlin and Paul Mooney were brothers from a didn’t mother. They were taught basic lessons early in their formative years and went their own way. Forget what fans say, many comedians in the business respect and admire both comedians work.
