I’m glad this finally went down. Funny that Manny got the same $$ he would have had if he hadn’t opted out of his Boston contract, but now he gets to chill in Cali and not have the Boston sports media all up in his boxer briefs [||].
He could take the triple crown in the NL this year. Prediction: .328, 46 HR’s, 138 RBI’s.

I’m just happy dude’s not in Boston anymore so I can finally root for him. Wish he rocked #24 now. The best hitter in the game- unequivocally. And his antics are always enjoyable. Just imagine if he wasn’t so aloof? Who knows- that might be the blessing. I don’t know about those numbers- hate to use contract year stats, but he might have turned it up to get what he got. It’s not so out of his character. 46 homers in Chavez Ravine is a lot. Beltre did it, but we all know he was juicing. LA’s definitely the NL West favorite.

I don’t fux with A-Rod whatsoever but it is suspect that he is the only name that was leaked from the list of over 100+ players that tested positive for steroids.
I don’t think Manny is aloof at all. He english sucks ass and je always ends up having to defend some shit he said that is taken out of context.

The sports writer calls Ramirez a “dingbat slugger”. Why? Because Ramirez refuses to use the language that says his every breath depends on winning baseball games. Fuck these writers and their coded racism (peep his amorous pitch about Youkilis).
Manny won’t end racism in beisbol by one bit, but neither did Jackie Robinson or any other great non-white player. The racism that pervades sports is perpetuated byt the journalists and the HIStorians that ascribe valor to a few and cast the rest into the cauldron of athletic brutes.

Never that. I was the only cat rooting for A-Rod when all the Jeter dickriders hated on the cat. I root for the uniform and never understood rooting against your own- especially the mega fragile. But he’s impossible to support. Constant foot in mouth, syringe in ass, highlight in hair syndrome.
In terms of Manny, his space cadet attitude at times can give the aura of aloofness. I’m not even talking about his actions off the field. It’s some of the shit on the field- not always giving his all- phantom injuries (supposedly) and shit like that that tarnishes his rep more than anything. Especially with his talent.
