The Association’s Jackson 5

Two months ago I would have totally discounted the role of the head coach in the outcome of NBA contests. The games were a stream of virtuoso offensive stars with a final two minute procession of free throws and time outs.

College baasketball is where the coaches reign supreme. Or so I thought. If Ilearned anything from these playoffs it was that the coach in the Association was the new sixth man. How else did Orlando engineer their visit to the league finals if not for their coach STAN VAN GUNDY who was obviously separated at birth from pr0n icon RON JEREMY?

As much as we will discuss the re-ascendancy of KOBE BRYANT sans SHAQUILLE O’NEAL we should respect the genius of PHIL JACKSON to secure his tenth title with what is arguably the worst squad he ever coached. The aggregate talent of this Lakers team is lower than any BULLS ‘chip squad and is less than any of the previous three Lakers teams that went all the way.

Its not like KOBE BRYANT, the Finals MVP, was even the best player throughout these playoffs, because he wasn’t. KOBE was undoubtedly a serviceable superstar, but have any of you fans studies his line from this Game 5? Under 50% shooting for 30 points, 6 boards and 5 assists. Those are JORDAN-esque numbers if we are talking about EDDIE JORDAN or maybe even JORDAN FARMAR but definitely not MICHAEL JEFFREY JORDAN. Let’s face it, KOBE’s got the grimace down pat, just not the game.

Will PHIL JACKSON return to the Lakers to set up a title defense? PrA’li. Who do you think will be able to outcoach JACKSON and simultaneously outplay the Lakers? Plus, there are some players on the Lakers team who I think will grow their skillsets over the summer. TREVOR ARIZA is one of them. Is it because he is my Twitter friend that I think @TAriza is going to be the shiz? Chea. In the meantime and in between time I will cash in on this KOBE hype though. I’m gonna put my KOBE 8’s laserprint Huarache 2K4’s up on eBay.

Holla if you fux with a size 12.

Hey KObe is realizing that the other 4 players on the court actually needs to touch the ball. Hey man, Kobe did his thing last year when he made it to the Finals only to be stifled by the Celtics intense defense. The year before that when he went on his crazy offensive blitz dropping 40-50+ games, not to mention that 81+ game against the Raptors. I’m sure Phil Jackson is happy that the scoring monster in Kobe is out of Mr. Bryant’s system . . . he really needs to believe in the other guys, trust them and get them involved. After all, Bynum and Ariza are looking pretty good now. Not to mention he looked phenomenal in the Olympics.
Hands down in a league that will eventually be ruled by Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Carmel Anthony, Chris Paul and any other young gun on the horizon . . . Mr. Bean is still the man, the monster, the legend.

Ron Jeremy >> Stan Van Gundy
Hopefully Stan Van Gundy will get his props though.

Do you remember when Ariza played for the NY KNICKS?

Phil Jackson surpassed Red Auerbach. Nuff said. And yeah, this is his worst team compared to the past 9 championship teams BUT he still has one of the best players in the league that helps determine the outcome of the game.

its just more the how he gets his (mainly ALOT of bad shots & long 2s) and not really having that defining moment or clutch shot that really makes the Jordan comparison seem like a reach…

anyway dig the site, been lurkin’, just had to chime in here

I think Phil’s going to retire now. He got his 10, he’s clearly still feeling the pain from hip surgery, and he looks tired, why not go out when you’re on top ya know?

The Lakers are gonna fuck around and win the trophy again next year. The only team I can see messing wit them in the West is Denver. The East can forget about especially if the Cavs get Shaq. The Cavs will end up battling Boston for the Eastern Conference Championship. Cavs will win and lose to the Lakers in the Finals.

What happen to the Knicks? Isiah Thomas killed the Knicks. Zeke was a great player but as a coach and general manager he is a serial killer. I do remember when Ariza played for the Knicks; damn shame we lost so much good talent during Isiah Thomas era and he gave up crazy draft picks for frankenstein ass looking Eddy Curry.SMH!! He gotta have some ill pics of David Stern and the owners doing something, cause my man know how to keep a job; even when he is destroying teams. Anyway, The Association is done until next year. Let’s go Yankees!!!
