The Not For Long wk 5 is almost in the books and the scrum for the top spot continues. Basically everyone that is in the pool is one stellar week from taking over the lead. Okay, maybe two stellar weeks, but with 12 weeks still left in the pool the free sneakers belong to anybody who really wants them.

*Commissioner’s note: There will be no adidas available this year. Sorry folks. I know Dart Adams is a super three stripe stan but there are some administrative issues this year with adidas and DP.com that you may have heard about. Yeah, well, c’est la vie.

I decided to go in with the entire field of poolers for this drop since we are passing the 1/4 mark of the season. No one should feel counted out but the poolers with zero need to step their game up. Those were two slots that someone else could have filled with the intentions of getting the glory.

The competition is for real for real this year. Jesse has seen the top spot twice already. Maybe this is the year that Joe Flacco’s Unibrow aka The FreshXpress aka Amadeo Sogni finally breaks through and gets his trophy. He has been one of the top poolers every year. Watch out for the ladies on the come up this year too. I think Angie from ProperTalks told me she was going with whatever team had her favorite colors.
