Editor’s note: This drop was inspired by the Tony Grand$ x getthesenets comments in the Magic Bird brokeback basketball thread. [ll] as always.
Kevin McHale is often referred to as the Frankenstein monster.
His game was as ugly as his mug too.
But for my recollection, the Chief was a better choice.
Fux it all.
These dudes are the Frankenstein Bros.
Why hasn’t this been made into a television series?
FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!
I’m literally laughing my ass off! Good shit, DP. Excellent way to start a Saturday (extra-early) morn.
Get-
Looks like we were both right…if I were them, I’d have some questions for my mother(s).
grand$ go get some fux’n sleep
TG, swishin’ and dishin’!! (That’s classic Walt Frazier-ism, so no pause necessary.)
I’m like PTSD amnesiac from my years of Knicks fandom but the earlier comment about your pops and Rambis reminds me, did any of ya’ll watch “White Shadow” when it ran? Must have been on reruns too. I sorta recall it had some cred but I’d never been to L.A. of course.
when the pistons eventually got over the hump and beat the celtics….bird walked off the court without shaking anybody’s hand…as he should have…
media shitted on Isiah for not shaking jordan’s hand after the bulls got over the pistons hump(and for the way they filed off the court before the gam ewas over right in front of the bulls bench)…..but I don’t think Dr. J and Andrew Toney were shaking hands with Bird and those guys after those philly/boston wars.
anyway….Isiah and Mchale exchanged a strong ass pound when the pistons finally beat the celtics…
Mchale’s game was beastly….the post moves, footwork, the pump fakes the field goal and free throw %..just beastly
WSS-
I stayed watching ‘White Shadow’. Word to Collidge & Salami. Pause?
during the “throwback jersey” era…I tried to actually get a “Carver” jersey….just to obliterate EVERYTHING

4:10 to 4:20 mark…..you see thomas give mchale dap
LOL!
I meant Coolidge. Ugh.
TG,
you should sample the theme song or some of the signing scenes from that show for a song….

Ha! Good looks, get.

Rambis got up & looked sad, haha. Did you see the kid with the Celtics starter jacket on? I’d wear that shit today. Throwbacks when they were present day. Gotta love YouTube.
clotheslining MFers like Steven Segal/
celtics gear was always hot…basic and classic…
that was a dirty foul by Mchale..but like you said…THIS was a rivalry…. if that was done today it would be a flagrant 2…and he’d get tossed
lol amazing
Both of those cats look like vanilla and chocolate versions of Frankenberry. EFFING HILARITY!
frankenberry is down with the lakers…………lamar odom’s wife
Shit, in today’s league, they may call the police on a player (no pun intended).
All the “friendly” touchy feely crap left the building along with letting a ref know how much of a shit-for-brains he is/was.
blame knicks/heat series….
if i’m not mistaken…..that don’t leave the bench rule…..was either created because of, or first enforced during heat/knicks brawl
Knicks/Heat brawl and Jeff Van Gundy holding onto Zo’s leg for dear life was almost as great a Knick lowlite as the infamous “finger roll”
The rule was put in place because of that incident and the fact that Stern was literally in the building.
word……….
i had to root for the knicks in the post season…once the nets were on vaca.
to me one of those low lites was ewing yelling at nonplayer spike lee for charging up miller..
spike was talking wild shit…miller was murdering the knicks…so ewing puts that georgetown education to work and yells at spike, the fan…
priceless
courtside seat -2500
knicks jersey- 95
getting screamed at by the captain of the knicks for yelling at knicks public enemy number 1 -priceless
and the ny newspapers were going in on spike too.
