Clone Wars Is Star Wars Crack…

The Clone Wars series on Cartoon Network is better than I expected it to be. After the Clone Wars feature film a couple of years ago I slept on this series beinbg developed by Cartoon Network. I wanted it to be bloodier and more ruthless. The series is set in the Star Wars universe in between the timelines of episode II ‘Attack Of The Clones’ and ep. III ‘Revenge Of The Sith’.

As the Separatist vs. Republic war rages on we start to see the chinks in the Republic’a armor. The Jedi Knights are under duress spread far and wide across the universe. Old rivalries are rehashed and the battle lines are drawn. I watched an episode where the Mandalorians were building up their war machine again after several generations of seeking peace, productivity and prosperity. You even get to meet Obi Wan’s girlfriend.

Clone Wars is a fantastic ret-conning of the Star Wars universe that is good television programming for any level of Star Wars fan. I’ve recently been on a clone trooper binge so I am enjoying watching these characters be introduced and placed into their respective roles for the story. I know how the story progresses but watching the details unwind is the best part.

If you are a Star Wars fan I know I don’t have to tell you to watch this show, but if you aren’t totally a fan of the SW storyline you will still enjoy the action and the next generation computer graphics imaging used for the animation.

Clone Wars is Hardbody but its beating a dead horse to death I rather Lucas Films use the animated platform to explore the adventures of the Jedi after episode 6 and see new shit. Clone wars is no drama to me cuz you know none of the main characters will die and who really cares about a clone cuz its a damn clone. I wanna see new interpretations of Luke after Vader got murked and his nephew Cade Solo.

And at least they could have another sith from Maul’s line or a clone of him that would be cooooooool with 8 O’s. Dat Aziz Ansari character Raaaaaaaandy is the shit his comedy central special was ill.

raaaaaaandy with 7 a’s my nigga that joint was funny as hell. i want a new show from aziz already. the clone wars joint was starting to get corny after a while but they started the bounty hunters story arc. now that story is back on point. lucas been strangling the life out of star wars after he did the first 3 movies. then after many rerelases he went and took us back into the past. like blair said move forward lucas got enough fans that it could be utter crap and it would still rack in the millions. new trilogy with real actors keep the joint on cartoon network to fill in the holes in the story. movie VII could be called STAR WARS I’M FINALLY GIVING YOU NEW SHIT

king blair, I’m right there with you but I’m not really mad at more content . . . the Clone Wars is still tight. With that said, there’s so much more than the Clone Wars . . . and the movie was kind of garbage. Recently finished reading the Bane novels (TIGHT!) I could use more backstories on the Sith of old, Darth Talon, Darth Sidious and all that.

I see that the 3D character design for this 3D animated Clone Wars series is based on the 2D animated shorts produced by Genndy Tartakovsky. I thought that was official, why not keep it 2D?!?

@ Dallas: I been tryna tell you that you have to get some kinda cable connection or watch some episodes online. I thought it was going to be weak too. I’m glad that I was wrong. The Mandalorian episodes are pretty hardbody, so I’m all in on this series.

@ T. Grands: I watched both Planet Hulk and the Justice League: Crisis on 2 Earths this week. BOTH of those joints were BANANITES! Is it me, or did Batman really get his ass kicked more than I’ve ever witnessed in the Justice League joint. Something about that doesn’t sit well with me.

Yeah I saw PH & JL early yesterday morning (shouts to OV Guide/Watch Movies-Link.net).

    A blunt & 24″ iMac w/headphones FTW.

I can’t get into Clone Wars. But The Crazies is ill though…

I could barely stomach Hulk getting stabbed in the chest by a fist….or him turning into one of those “things”…I love seeing Batman get serviced, because it just makes him even more human & relatable, versus him being your run of the mill alien or mutated hero. Dudes just a man. Albeit a smart, but still.
