New York’s Got A New LT…

LT

I’m hype for the Jets acquisition of of the former San Diego Chagers All-Pro RB LaDANIAN TOMLINSON. He isn’t a game breaker anymore, but he is a steady veteran who will share the rock with SHONN GREENE and hopefully push the locker room to the next level. Even with the PLAXICO-sounding first name like LaDANIAN, TOMLINSON has been a stand up guy on and off the field.

The Jets could still use another Charger who may be up for grabs – SHAWN MERRIMAN.

Merrimans stock dropped in San Diego really fast.

  2. San Diego is fast becoming a dead end for players in the midst of their glorious shine (Not intended). Surprisingly, the Ol’ Conservative (Norv Turner) himself has allowed the offense to open up the air attack, effectively rendering LT obsolete and out of place.

This may turn out to be the biggest come-up in the history of NY sports, for nothing is more dangerous in football than a highly defensive team with an effective running back. Go ask the 2000 Ravens about that.

didnt merriman choke tila tequila? i kinda hate myself for knowing that, if its true.

Can’t see Tomlinson being effective for the Jets. Was great in his prime but he’s on the Shaun Alexander career arc.

Same with Merriman — not if you’re expecting anything like his first years in SD. He was fast and he’s had knee troubles. The end.

Don’t count out Merriman. The Jets already have Cromartie & LT…

LT really? they not paying much for him like what washington did with haynesworth mwhahahahha. they letting jones go hoping that LT will get back to his former glory. man talk about pressure for him he trying to make some coin then retire.

Shonn Greene will eventually take over as a full time RB but now they have LT (who is accepting a diminished role already – Darren Sproles?) to help Greene get to the next level.

Jets are gonna win the AFC East next season if their D gets just a little better.

so, the Jets give up T Jones to us (KC) and pick up a worse RB in LT? I can’t see the logic in this move, but I’ll take Jones all day to keep our boy Charles as healthy as possible.

Man, Im happy for youze guys getting LT. He’s going to help your team out a lot b/c you have a far superior offensive line to the one he was running behind in San Diego. I just wish that my WORLD CHAMPION NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (I will rep & boast til we are no longer such) could have reunited him w/Drew Brees.
