NYKnicks: Western Conference Contenders…

The Knicks are looking like a traditional Western Conference team. Plenty of scorers and no defenders or rebounders. I welcome Carmelo Anthony to MSG, but I’m leery to anoint the Knicks as ‘chip contenders for the Eastern conference. We still need too many key players for the team defense to halt a squad like the Celtics or the Magic.

It is nice to see the Knicks building a team with bonafide parts tho’. I couldn’t score a scalped ticket earlier this season so I know getting into the Garden now is a wrizzap. Oh well, since the Knicks are owned by Cablevision I just better make sure I keep my cable bill current. Let’s go Knicks.

As a Knick fan, who can hate on the addition of Melo and Billups on the roster? They need help to contend against Boston and Miami. But i aint too happy of Felton and Chandler leaving. Them dudes played their hearts out. They kept that energy and intensity up with Stat. (At least we still got Fields). I wish there was a way that they all could’ve stayed with the new addition.

I like how you don’t give the Heat any serious consideration like somehow Billups, Amare, and Anthony means now they are top 3 in the east behind the Magic and the Celtics.

I agree w/Sic. A LOT of the Knicks’ success this year can be attributed to Felton. I’m happy to see Melo finally make the move he wanted to. Y’all just stay away from my Hornets’ CP3!

@Sic, I agree they did play their hearts out, but at the end of the day they are expendable for a player of Melo’s caliber. And like you said, we still got Fields who would be rookie of the year if it weren’t for Mr. Blake Griffeth aka Mr. Jump over Anything!
