I like some Kanye music and find DP’s pro-Yeezy arguments mostly sound (esp. “808s”) but his dominant insipidness– and the horror of this fucking song, and this fucking album– are only exaggerated by his recent glomming on to ghost of Gil Scott-Heron.
With a few exceptions (mostly from “College Dropout,” we’re talking the artistic difference for Laser Floyd and Langston Hughes, GTFOH.
The Common/Kanye albums suck too; figures Pres. Obamastan would squander hip-hop politicking on asswipes like Lonnie and Shawn.
