from dealing with both i would say rican’s because they both will cut you if you do them wrong. it’s just the dom’s are quicker to start with the cutting hahahha
actually mofongo is a spin off a african dish. also if you eat food from alot of different latino cultures. alot of them use the same names but it’s something different in each culture.

I’m Puerto Rican but the first time I ever had Mofongo was in a Dominican restaurant (mighta been at La Cabana). I don’t give a shit if it came from Serbia, that shit is GOOD. I want some now..
I don’t think Dominicans ever fucked with the plantain like Puerto Ricans do. I just got back from the island a couple weeks ago, and could order mofongo just about anywhere I went. Pretty sure mofongo is originally PR, not that it makes the shit taste any better or worse.
As a half-Puerto Rican, half-Ecuadorian cat myself I gotta say the onion comparison was pretty weak Dallas. Those Andean cats tend to fuck more with potatoes and rice.
Damn i want some mofongo! I meet this girl in college and she explained for me. Mofongo is Puerto Rican and is the close Mangú like homie on the video said and they are both based on the original FuFu which is a West and Central African dish. It followed the Slave culture and got remixed into something new.
