APPLE Computers Does Not Care About Black People

Start Snitching sparked a nice little debate when he compared Apple Computers newest laptop to the latest offering from Dell Computers. It turns out that you are paying nearly $2000 more dollars to look like a hipster with the pretty Apple laptop.

The question arose why would Apple charge so much for their products when the company boasts of their accessibility and their anti-elitist, anti-monopoly anti-trust operating system. What if Apple set their price points to prevent Coloreds from purchasing their products. Also the fact that they are manufactured in a white casing makes me believe that Apple doesn’t care about Black people.

Sure STEVE JOBS wears a black shirt with his jeans and yeah, the Apple Computer Corp. hire Blacks to drive their parking lot shuttle buses, but where are the Black computer engineers? Where are the Black people working at the Apple retail store?

“Hey STEVE JOBS, how come there are no brothers on the wall?”

Actually, Apple Computers took the lead by using Black people with their iconography. JACKIE ROBINSON was a real winner. Then MicroSoft trumped Apple by buying a shitload of MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr. photos, but I suppose Apple deserves some credit for using MALCOLM X. Nahh, they were just being trendy. I guess it must be true what someone overheard JOBS saying…

“All Black people can do for me is buy my iPods and shine my shoes”.

The laptops don’t actually cost $2000 more, if they are similarily decked out. There are better price comparisons out there, and high end MacBook Pros are being purchased by professionals, it is iBooks that are being purchased by hipsters.

As to the racism? Do you actually know anything about the racial makeup of Apple?

Nope, I just expect better commentary from people. Ashley, is your last name Dell?

Andrew, truth is that I work at home off a Mac-mittens G-fource. I like the Mac platform and its interface.

I support Apple Computers with my dollars and I expect to be supported equally for my monies worth. Our spending capital is how we Americans vote on a daily basis. I have given Apple Computers my vote up to this point and I want more than just a slogan and slick adverts. I want tangible action since technology is how our economy and our future will be based.

Is Apple going into the center city elementary schools? I see the center city high school kids with their MP3 players, but I don’t see the center city kids being given any information on anything other than being a consumer.

Every day that I spend my money I consider it a vote for something that I believe in. Apple better get on the ball if they want to stay on my ballot.
