The post-Pringles era has begun with a bang. I’m sure the Knickerbockers were extra hype for this game with the TrailBlazers just to make sure they weren’t traded by the morning.
Even with a convincing and embarassing blowout of a talented Blazers team I can still see some problems looming for the Knicks. The starters were outscored by the bench players. Landry Fields finished with a single point. Jeremy Lin, my hero, had the most turnovers of anyone who played in the game.
This Knicks team isn’t competing with Chicago or Miami for the Eastern crown and there are still going to have to be major changes before we can honestly consider them for the league title, but jettisoning D’Antoni was a step in the right direction.
Does Mike Woodson– or at least Herb Williams– have Dontrevius’ number? The kid’s time is NOW, especially since I’m afraid the Lintermission is permanent. His “God” moved on, now if only more of these ill-fitting (by which I mean D’Antoni) Knickerbockers also get the hell out of the way. I wish Dolan was gone too but…
