  1. I’m digging this joint… Should be the theme song for Basketball Wives.

Damn, it’s a shame how jaded we’ve become since It Was Written. BGL Pt. 1 was so relevant, we all knew females like that. This Pt. 2 shit is about reality show bitches we could care less about. This kid schooled me the other day, he said most of these females you want to protect really don’t want your help, they are in love with Sodom like Lot’s wife.

  3. @FTW – Great call. The fact is that celebrity is the only industry that America excels in at this point, and whether its fame or infamy, people will justify any behavior as long as “they gettin’ they money”. I was always told “Give someone with nothing to say a platform to speak, and you’ll see a fool born before your eyes”. With all these media outlets people will dry snitch, wet snitch, bear their souls just for a shot at “reality TV”. I say all of that to say this is nothing more evidenced in these “Wives” shows where 75% of the chicks in there aren’t even in functional relationships. What the fuck are they even married to? I got caught up in the train wreck of Basketball Wives last night and I’m amazed that a bitch’s claim to fame is “The ex-girlfriend of Michael Olowokandi” even though she’s been slored out by David Stern knows, how many other “ballers”. The fact that this way of life is constantly certified and validated makes this song all the more relevant.

Sharon Cherop FTW, Boston Martathon yesterday, worth watching–

Also, while this Nas song doesn’t do anything for me save the Sojourner Truth reference, it’s a legitimate– if rarefied– complaint. I’d me MORE interested to listen to Nas address something his failure of perception on Disc 2 of “Street’s Disciple” but…

40, I’ve never seen “Basketball Wives,” sound horrific if not uninteresting. Bring back Rachel Robinson!!

DP, might be interesting to have the ICs interview Sharon Robinson sometime?

  5. […] not. I WILL watch VH1′s Behind The Music: NaS though. But you can go here to peep why NaS stays losing. #NoShots. /* /* ← ‘Hologram’ Tupac […]

  7. Wardell Franklin says:

@ pmac: neither this nor the previous single were impressive but “Nasty,” I thought, was fucking great, schooling every Queens MC living, dead, retired–

I don’t like the ads or product placement but…
