Stalley: Pressure…

stalley pressure

Stalley is one of these young rap cats that I am fuxing with [ll]. I think I only really fux with the dudes from Ohio [ll]. Kid Cudi is from Cleveland and so is Stalley if I’m not mistaken. The midwest region is where most of the young talent that I am seeing in NYC is growing out of. Danny Brown is from Detroit and Freddie Gibbs is from godforsaken Gary, Indiana.

This is a nice little single from Stalley. It’s a bit emo, but mainstream rap might be the only place that a Black man is allowed to cry. Someone needs to thank KanYe West for that. I don’t see anyone pushing for legislation to add free pyschiatrist visits to the disenfranchised under the new healthcare bill. Until then, we’ll have to use this rap shit.

yo dp i have to apologize for not seeing the light with das racist. their electro-ish beats are jus not my style and i can’t really fuck with it, but when they spit to some actual hip hop shit, they’re fresher than all of these new rappers. that shut up dude mixtape was pretty good. For ppl who thought they were ultra wack, check out this track ‘you oughta know.’

    fredMS,
Ain’t nothin’ to it and you ain’t got to apologize to me. DasRacist is actually fresh to def. You were abhle to get past their looks to see that. Salute yourself.

Oh, are you inferring that I didn’t drink the Kool-Aid because of their appearance? That is hurtful, Dallas. I remember a time when there was no internets, and I hadn’t laid eyes on my favorite rappers (Ultramagnetics) from that era until 1 1/2 after I first listened to them.

I don’t know what your problem with dasRacist is? Most people nowadays need a rapper to ‘look’ a certain way (read: be an African American)

Whatever your reservations are with DR you should get over it

  5. Nearly everything Stones Throw releases is good money.

Yo…Stalley was one of a couple of opening acts for Jay Electronica in New Orleans recently. Dude came before a crowd who knew NO-THING of him, and rocked that bish. Much respect, and dope song. Thanks for sharing, DP.

P.S. DasRacist is dope as a crack relapse. I don’t give a eff what they look like. BRROOOOWWWWNNNN
