While I’m on this fanboy high I thought I would preview some new exclusive DP Dot Com NIKE Dunks. I decided to create a series of Dunks that would reflect another one of my favorite collectibles – comic books. In the sneaker game, there has been a lot of shine given to Marvel Comics superheroes as of late. My idea was to zig where others were zagging so instead of staying in the Marvel universe I crossed over to D.C.
When I crossover I go hard so I wasn’t about to tap a little known character with a non-descrip cult following like Booster Gold. I went for the hardbody superhero crown bitches. You know who the eff I’m talking about…
My first pair was created using the classic colorways of the man from Krypton. The Dunk Hi’s have five areas that you can submit colors for and unfortunately for now the midsole must remain white, but I think I found a suitable design within the program.
Let’s call this series the DP Dot Com x DC Comics Superhero Pack

I usually don’t agree with the white midsole on most of the dunks but on those Super Dallas joints the white works out good.

I can’t really see much difference between the two styles. Yet I can’t get down wit the dunks.
I copped the Jordan #1 package set, that comes with two pairs of Jordans :red/white/black and yellow/black.
They don’t officially come out until tomorrow but stores down here been selling them since last weekend.
The AJ1’s were inspired from dunks. Personally, I can’t get with dunks or AJ1’s. The “jordunk III’s” though, whhhheeeew. I would have my furniture in my house done in cement print if I could.

I did a pair that would have been called ‘Green Dallas’ where the green was the base(blue above) and black was the vamp/accent(yellow/red above) with a white swoosh. They were mean as fuck, but then I asked myself… “Self, are you going to climb down the wormhole where you design some Aquaman and Hawkman joints?” So I fell back.
How about MARTIAN MANHUNTERS… green base, blue accents, red swoosh? i could get into some of those (no NORTHSTAR)… but then again i think that BAPESTA colors can be rocked on the regulack, so i might not be the best judge of taste.
