never have i wanted to live in new york so badly. santa barbara doesn’t have shit on the new york parks!

    2. Conor says:

Wow! That’s an extremely impressive lineup for a free concert series. Shit I really wish I lived in Yawk now.

    3. Angelique Kidjo is ill, even though I don’t speak the languages she sings in.

When I worked in Pittsburgh, my homie from Norway, El Vikingo Loco, put me up onto the Beninise Kidjo’s Greatest Hits compilation disc. I suppose that is globalization like a mofo. WorldWideSide!!

    4. Big Homie says:

Sean Price, Black Moon, Smiff N Wessun is what’s up. I got to head up to NYC

I saw Angelique Kidjo and Zap Mama on August 12th. The concert was amazing!! I always liked Angelique Kidjo since she first came out. Zap Mama surprised me. I haven’t heard from them since their A Capella days. They have transformed into a very interesting group. Fun to watch. I took some pictures and video clips and posted them here:

      Enjoy,

Hey thoreauly77 don’t worry. I bet in Santa Barbara they don’t arrest people for doing Yoga in the park or ticket families for being in NYC parks after 9pm. After Giulliani NYC parks have turned into prison yards. Even at most of these events NYPD police presense is heavy. As much as I love my culture here in NYC, I would rather live in in Santa Barbara anytime. The police terrorism has ruined everything. Enjoy your freedom.
