Crap Music Fantasy League

adfo

It was a close race up until the final week but that is when America Done Fell Off Records pulled out their victory for the 2007 Q4 segment of cRap Music Fantasy League.

A few heads have asked about the Q1 segment that is underway. Don’t be too concerned though my confirmation e-mail will go out to all valid label owners this weekend and all points earned shall be retroactive and applied. The game is still in its BETA stage so we don’t have the functionality as yet for label owners to pick-up / drop artists. That will come in time so stay tuned for more cMFL update drops.

America Done Fell Off Records caked up crazily with two dark horse rappers. Queen Latifah, who in the cMFL just as in life ironically goes both ways(crapper – R&B) put in her girth’s worth of work. The second big acquisition that put ADFO over the top was the rapper Common. Between his movie roles and GAP commercials was this freestyle performance at a benefit concert going down on New Year’s Eve at a church in Chicago.

And let the bloggers say ‘Chuuuurch.”

  1. Yeah dunn! America Done Fell Off Records is the Roger Federer of this cRap shyt!

    Size 10 zapatos, por favor.

A big fock you to Lil Wang & Nelly. Their album push-backs almost derailed my season, but like Dallas said their fellow closeted ghey Latifah picked up their slack.

If ADFO actually took Common and QL then he deserves to win. Who woulda thought they would be the deciding factor? Who woulda thought a freestyle in a church would be the tie-breaker? Nice.

  3. ^what’s this “if ADFO actually took…” nonsense?

All of us posted our rosters in the DP comments. Unlike the US election system, there’s no way to cheat in cRap.

I had the foresight to draft Latifah. Well to keep it real, I thought she would get her points from her jazz standards album selling gold. Latifah failed to sell gold, but she got her points via other shyt like Jenny Craig endorsements.

So you could say my cRap title due to mix of both my skill & blind luck (eg the Jenny Craig left-field type of shyt).

However, that is the NATURE of the cRap game. Unless you yourself were the 1 who murked Pimp C or Kanye West’s mom, there was no way of knowing that they would get a random 1000 pt bonus this quarter.

  6. Raheem Devaughn update, hopefully some of this is pointworthy –

His newest album comes out next week, and this is some for sure shit because I’ve been getting e-mails about random release parties and what not. I believe the exact date is the 15th, and the album is called “Love Behind the Melody”.

He’ll be on Jimmy Kimmel Live on January 18th.
As well as the CW11 Morning Show on the 23rd.

He’s been featured in the February issue of Ebony that also gives big props to his new album.

He’ll be at the Grammy’s which air on the 10th of February since he is nominated for a Grammy.

  7. Dj RaYz says:

Yo, how much did that church pay to have Common show up and rip a set?

  8. get money ent. says:

lets get money ent. thats all i have to say

  9. Raheem Devaughn in the latest issue of Billboard magazine, where they claim that he “is the most underrated artist of all time”.

He’s also performing at the 1st Annual BET Honors Night on Feb. 22nd.

Wale’s myspace says he’s going to the Grammy Awards. Considering it’s under the section where it talks about his upcoming shows, I’d assume he’s performing?
