I know you dudes have it in you, but you need to step up your mag and subsequent mag release party game.
The Mass Appeal party for their 50th issue would have been just fine with the Seagram’s gin Obama and the classic true school Hip-Hop blaring through the speakers. Plus the random chick who climbed up on the platform and took off her top.
Mass Appeal is the only magazine I am reading now. Occasionally I will buy a King or XXL, but only when I am working at a job site on Court Street because the newsstand sells them shits for $3. I usually leave them joints on the subway during the afternoon so the kids can get them. I bring my copy of Mass Appeal home.
You would imagine that a company that can produce a magazine worth keeping might be able to engineer a party worth attending. You would be right. There were tons of pretty people hanging out. My homies from ThinkTank Marketing always roll with a grip of iCandy (shouts to iFux). That chick from the Neptunes’s clique had a crew of young ladies. I believe homegirl’s name is VASHTIE. She is wild pretty in person and not as little as I expected her to be since she runs with PHARRELL.
Ferris Bueller and Plain Pat came through. Neither of them are pretty, but that was cool since they brought the entertainment. You may have heard of this dude – Kid Cudi. Pronounced “cuddy”, he is from the midwest like his idol KanYe West. Cleveland to be exact. He even resembles the flow of some of Cleveland’s best known rappers, Bone Thugs and Harmony. His song ‘Day ‘N Night’ has been making the radio rounds here in NYC.

He has that singing flow that BTH used to spit with. It’s a half rhyming cadence and a half harmonizing flow. I fucks with this shit. Kid Cudi did a short set for the drunken gathering and then he kept it moving. He prah’lee went on to the next party with even prettier drunk and hot girls.
I took a subway to Brooklyn.

Vashtie is cool. I went to a few of her parties before. Her BFF Oscar got the mean 80’s gear though. Real mean… High top and all that.
Did you peep this [unofficial] video she did for Lupe? She used kids that looked & mocked lupe, vash, k. west, & pharrell… was like a few months ago. my boy was a part of that project. was a good look.
I bumped that “Day and Night” track ALL through this summer. Sometimes I just left it on repeat as I’d fall asleep on the sofa lol. Like for real, chill track, and I’m not quite sure why but I fucks with it.
He performed with Wale, Torae, and Pete Rock @ the Highline Ballroom back in the end of February, I believe.
