I just copped these New Balance 574’s at my favorite cheap sneaker spot A.J. Wright. I am calling these joints my New Balance Nature Boys.
I will wear these joints when I work at the food co-operative in Park Slope. I will wear these sneakers when I go camping upstate with C.S. I will wear these kicks when I am around people that care about bullshit like recycling, and saving the rain forests and the icebergs and the penguins.
These are the shoes that say to other people ‘I Give Back’ when in reality I don’t give a fuck. Giving a fuck actually requires hard work. I’d rather wear a ribbon on my lapel and tell people that I’ve given up red meat.
The added bonus is how comfortable my feet will be.
Those are fresh. We used to have the old school NB factory store in Brighton, MA and the clearance section was crazy. Everything under $30. I even copped a couple pairs at $7 a piece.
Then they moved into a fancy building and shit fell off.

Big Rils…thats how the whole sneaker game is going…everybodys tryna’ get all fancy and shit…with the stores bein’ all exclusive and space age, complete with plasma tvs, Mac computer registers, lounge chairs and couches…I guess somebody has to pay for that, and heaven help you if you ask one of these hipster sales dudes to try something on…

@dirtyjerz, you got a pic of those LeggoMyEggo Nike Daybreaks? i just saw where an AJ right is here in NY but its just outside train range so i may find some gems. havent been in there yet. I know this sounds fucked up but when you are able to find a store that is a little outside the path of (ahem, “my brothers”LOL) you always stand a change of coming across some shit that is not too picked over.

I got my last pair of 574s at AJ Wright on a DP suggestion. After seeing this drop I ran to check, but could only find 3 sizes too small. Well, I took a road trip to see the family in Ohio this weekend and found my size 13 mixed in with the 10s. Dallas, I am your brother in discount footwear.
