The BLAX HEDRUM Show…

max headroom

Stand the fuck up if you grew up in the 1980’s!

I didn’t say if you were born in the 80’s because that might mean you are a crackhead’s kid, not that crackhead babies don’t deserve to have their moment in the sun too, but for now I want to show some love to the folks who remember when cable television was still in its infancy and WHT broadcasted soft core pr0n videos and Fox channel 5 was famous for the old school karate flicks and not the faux journalistic pricks.

You remember that son of a bitch Max Headroom? That nigga was a cokehead and a dopefiend all at the same time. Sonn would talk at 100mph with no brakes and then the next minute he would be nodding off like a heron junkie. Dude was crazy though, and I fucked with him [ll]. So much so that I have decided to create a new personality for you folks that fucks with the DP.com movement. Meet my homey BLAX HEDRUM. He will be responsible for the vlogging that drops here at DallasPenn Dot Com. Show him the same love that you give to Billy X. Sunday and Blu Cheez.

I had the original Max Headroom movie on VHS that explained his creation. Dude worked for an advertising company that made ads so condensed called “blipverts” that we actually like 25 commercials compressed into one frame inbetween OTHER commercials. They tested the first group of blipverts with an audience and their fuckin’ heads exploded.

    Bugged out shit.

    One.

  7. Word to the Five Deadly Venoms, old-school Channel 5, thus when Fu-Schnickens and Wu Tang came around… it wasn’t a total surprise.

Other crazy shit: Bowling for Dollars on Channel 9 (that might be the ’70s), old school WWF wrestling Sat morn (S.D. “Special Delivery” Jones stand up), also on Channel 9, lots of reruns of good NYC nonsense like Taxi, Barney Miller, All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Kojack.

We didn’t get on the cable thing until after Max so I missed that; I do remember catching weird-ass mid-’80s videos on UHF Channel 68: word to the rabbit ears?
