The Mets have two guys on that list who could reach the 500 plateau this season if they stay healthy. I’m not so sure about CARLOS DELGADO getting 31 HRs this season though. I could actually see SHEFFIELD and DELGADO sharing 1B duties.
I’m also not someone who wants to put an asterisk next to the player’s names of those who played in the current era. Keep in mind that BABE RUTH played baseball when many of the game’s best athletes were forbidden from competing.
