Thought At Work…

black thought

MEL D. COLE from Village Slum captured the essence of Black Thought’s skills as an emcee.

Imagine how sick on the mic you would be if you also walked around with one in your back pocket?

The answer would be very fucking awesome.

. . . uhmmm. Name an emcee dead or alive that can perform like that conistently and still sound good after so many years. . . . I’m waiting.

Answer: My official Rhyme Animal List:

Chuck D – he coined the term “rhyme animal”, studied James Brown and is still rockin
Busta Rhymes – animated in the recording booth and took plenty of notes from the showmanship of many dancehall artists*
Black Thought – See exhibit A (above)
Cypress Hill – I never saw these brothers live, but I hear they don’t disappoint and they don’t act their age on stage. They give you your bucks worth.

*Now only if many other hip hop acts paid attention to dancehall and take note.
