All Day I Dream About Star Wars…

star wars

I may have watched the original three Star Wars episodes(4-6) at least 100x since I got the DVD’s in July. These are my favorite films of all time. I’m damn near 40yrs old and I still wouldn’t mind dressing up like any character from one of these movies. Not just on Halloween, but everyday.

So you might could think about the dilemma I am facing with adidas creating a pack of Originals brand kicks in homage to Star Wars?

adidas was smart enough not to leak the entire images of these products because they may ultimately be asscheeks. The shoes listed as ‘Stormtroopers’ are already looking like fails to me because the stormtrooper boots are all white with a black outsole. The ‘Vader’ ZX shoe has some promise tho’.

adidas even has some apparel dropping with this pack of shoes.

I have to see some bettter pics of this shit because I have a feeling that this might not meet the full DP fanboyz stamp of approval.

Stay tuned in sneaker fiends.

  1. yo! i need them Storm Troopers! and them Vaders if i could see ’em….

  2. Dilemma? I can’t comment on Star Wars per se, having only seen the first movie, once, at the time of release in Memphis, Tennessee (visiting grandparents) and NONE of the others* but…

Did Adidas do right by the kid or is DP torn because of all that history?

I only have one old pair of Sambas to get rid of but I’m more than happy to throw those fuckers in the funeral pyre.

    * By comparison, I was a big “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” fan as a youth, and “The Day The Earth Stood Still” too for that matter.

    Willis,
adidas is still mum on that incident. I’ve been contemplating ramping up my contempt, but while I am now without a videocamera adidas gets a stay of execution

My dad got this honor at church & when he went up to accept the award all I could think about was the closing scene from A New Hope.

The Original D.T.E.S.T is the joint….the second one let humanity off the hook. The first one basically bitch slapped every nation in the UN. WTF is up with the second pair? The first pic makes me think of the Millenium Falcon…if it was clean and shiny…the second one just throws it off. Good looking on the Fett joints D…I think I need to add some shelf space.

DP…did you ever cop any of the Ecko Star Wars gear? Some of it is kinda fresh…especially if you’re a Star Wars stan.

  7. As far as Star Wars stans, I’m pretty heavy with it (Empire Strikes Back being one of the greatest films of all time). But I can’t see the whole thing. It’s like trying to figure out if a woman is attractive in a bar with bad lighting. I’m really on that “Yes…wait, no…..wait…maybe?” with these, esp. since I’m not big into Adidas so it’s hard to figure out what they’re doing. And did they need to write “stormtrooper” on it? Adidas, still losing. That’s my preliminary call.

I feel like Vader shoes are the only joints tgat will be respectable. The Stormtrooper joints should have placed the Imperial insignia on them joints instead of the helmet faceplate. That design choice made them more silly than serious. My feeling is that adidas is rushing them out and they don’t want true heads to see what a hack job they did so that is why we only get these leaked vignettes.

    @Mark Dub

Ha! My wife copped me some of the Star Wars Ecko gear. The kids @ my sons school love them shits.

Those pic aren’t piquing my interest @ all. I’m @ the age where I don’t want my shoes outdoing my shirts.

Lmao @ looking down to my feet & seeing Harrison Ford smirking @ me.
