RZA’s new rap: filmmaker

Searching thru the web I came up on this site – Giant-Size Marvel and it is tha’ sheeet!

They feature some of the best art from the comics that I grew up reading and loving. Neal Adams, John Byrne, George Perez, Gil Kane, Michael Golden, etc are frequently represented as well as news of the goings on in the comic book universe. I’ve bookmarked the site.

Yo…Giant Size Marvel is the SHIZNIT!!! I like that Rza is broadening his scope; he’s a super-creative cat, so I can’t wait to see what he does with this “Man With the Iron-Fist” joint. Oh yeah….WHO DAT!!!

RZA was always the weakest link in the Wu lyrically

Love this shit, that Alex Ross Cover is so sick

  8. 6 100 says:

Ugod might be in a tie for lyrical Wu-wackness but RZA always got a pass because he made the beats.

  9. Yo RZA is not a lyrical weak link. If ya don’t understand him then say that. That man builds within his verses. Go back to Gravediggaz for reference. Listen to “Impossible” again. Even “Tragedy”. “Domestic Violence” too.

Ain’t no way that man can LEAD a group of guys that strong and be a weak link lyrically. They would have NEVER stayed together, dudes would have never respected his thoughts and visions.

Most even think Masta Killa is weak. He writes more powerful bombs than what people think…piym

I agree in regards to Masta Killa

“Ain’t no way that man can LEAD a group of guys that strong and be a weak link lyrically. They would have NEVER stayed together, dudes would have never respected his thoughts and visions.”

I always thought it was collective loyalty to the clan and the knowledge of what got them to where they got to that led to such long standing cohesion of the Wu. Rza was an integral part w/the instrumentals. However, Rza’s thoughts and visions where what caused the rifts in the group during the last album. Rappers always respect the beat maker when they need beats.

  11. How is “Brooklyn Babies,” weak? Also check yourself on U-God, his best verses with Wu and solo- are real, and gloriously weird, as shit. RZA might not always focus lyrically but his range, and accomplishment, as an mc is vast.

IRON MAN LAST BIG STORY ARC WAS OFF THE HOOK WHEN THEY GOING FINISH THE IMMORTAL WEAPON STORYLINE. I GOT MY FAT COBRA COMIC SIGNED BY THE GUY WHO DID IT. THINK HIS NAME WAS JASON AARON I WOULD HAVE TO GET MY BOOK TO CHECK.

Dealing with the Nation I know that if Rza wasn’t sharp with 120 it would have been impossible to keep 9 other men interested, besides the money part. That was Rza brokering those solo deals, telling who to rhyme where, perfecting the personas of those dudes. It was the loyalty to 120, the mathematics, that kept them in tune. Papa Wu was the OG 120 specialist to reinforce Rza’s outlook, Power was the 120 enforcer while on the road.

And I agree with you with the 8 Diagrams scenario, cats outgrew his leadership role. And U-God ain’t weak either, he’s overlooked. Like Deck & Masta, and Gza. Their personalities are not aggressive like the others.
