Flinstonemobile >>> Toyota…

toyota

I’m not even gonna front and hide my joy that the Toyota Prius is all fucked the fux up. I h8 them shits and the fux that drive them. Those same douche nozzles that recycle and conserve and preserve are only concerned with the status quo. Its time for the Earth to start over again and your little bullshit 50 miles to the gallon half a homo hybrid car is not going to save you when the Earth opens its craw to swallow us all whole.

Full disclosure: DP operated in 1989 Camry until 2004

    ’89 Cam?
    A dent pulley (2 screwdrivers) and 45 seconds…

    y=kx

Which is to say great Japanese productive output is directly proportional to harikari in the workplace.

    Then:
“We will work or die until we build a better car than the Americans!”

    Now:
“Fux yo safety! I’m going on holiday…”

  4. To All- here is the low down on Toyota’s defective accelerators:

    1) any vehicle with a VIN # beginning w/ the letter ‘J’ is not subject to recall. ‘J’ indicates the vehicle was made in Japan.

    2) CTS is the Elkhart ILL(?) based company that manufactured the mechanical and electric components, purportedly to Toyota’s specs.

    3) As part of NAFTA, Toyota’s US plants are required to purchase a specified quota of parts from US domestic auto parts manufacturers.

    4) CTS submitted their product to Toyota and was approved for some models in 2002. By 2005, more US made Toyota’s were using the CTS accelerator pedal and electronic components. These components were used through 2007

    5) By 2008-2010, more models used these components. The same CTS systems were also used by Pontiac(GM). Think of the Pontiac Vibe, the car that looks like the Toyota Matrix(joint venture). The Vibe is also under recall.

    6) CTS has issued statements contending that the parts made for Toyota were not faulty (respecified or under built)

    7) CTS is a Wall Street owned corporation. Toyota represents 3% of CTS’s annual revenue.

    8) In Europe, some models of Citroen and Peugeot using CTS systems have also been recalled

    9) In their denial of responsibility CTS states that all of their statements to date are ‘forward-looking statements’. This is NAFTA trade jargon which means CTS is not legally responsible for any statements they make in regard to the reliability of their accelerator components. The legal definition of ‘a forward looking statement’ is contained in an act passed by Clinton/Congress 1995. This jargon is accepted not only by the SEC, but also by the NTSB(National Transportation Safety Board)

    10) The possibility of respecified components is currently being investigated by Toyota.

    11) ‘Despecified componentry’ has always been an issue in industry. A parts supplier will submit a prototype to the manufacturer. The manufacturer will test the prototype and upon passing company standards, the part will be ordered into production. The parts supplier then produces the part(s) to sub-standard specs.,increasing their profit margin while resulting in a “reasonable” degree of failure.

Toyota Spokesperson on the news the other night: “It was a hiccup, we’re prepared…blah blah blah.”

Grands: “Wait, people DIE from the hiccups?!”

  6. Polotron says:

    Very thorough Syk. Thanks.

*My apologies to all the good folks in Japan that may have offed themselves as a result of my irresponsible quip above. And long live Anime!*

  7. Tony Grands says:

^^^In that same vein, I wasn’t cracking wise on the issue, rather Toyota’s poor damage control & minimalizing.

  8. getthesenets says:

Thanks for the bullet points $yk,

It confirms what my suspicions were. The VERY first crappy thing that Honda put out was the Passport…..and that was manufactured or assembled right here.

This whole thing is a conspiracy to damage the hybrid market and to discourage people from buying gas efficient cars.

  9. fosterakahunter says:

Amen, brother. (On the real, though, my real man used to cart everybody around in the ’94 Killa Camry, too. We went everywhere in that bitch. R.I.P.) I want American auto makers to develop an alternative fuel muscle car. Prius’ and itty bitty shitty rice burners and the like will not do.

  10. fosterakahunter says:

Just thoroughly read Syk’s bullet points. I may amend some of my above sentments, ie. the rice burner statement.

  11. @ all

What other way to rebuild the American car industry? Slander the leader of the pack and knock them down a notch…brilliant…

  12. the_dallas says:

That’s why you know these Japanese whips are ghey. Sticky brake pedals and faulty airbags.

American cars will just burst into flames on the highway.

  13. ^ lol @ dP

catch y’all when I come back from the Portland/OKC game 2nite…my late as hell ride just got here…

  14. DURANT>>>>>>>>>>>>oden

Blazers fukked up wit dat one…AGAIN…

  15. the_dallas says:

Durant >>> LeBron James. Quote me.

  16. ^ co-shizzle

The fans were chanting “Durant’s better than Oden” every time he hit a shot…ridiculi Sonics jerseys in the house…

  17. Mark Dub says:

LMAO @ “The fans were chanting “Durant’s better than Oden” every time he hit a shot…ridiculi Sonics jerseys in the house…” They’re just stating what everybody new at the draft.

  18. getthesenets says:

with the state of nba centers these days….sam bowie would be an all star…
    think about it ..

dwight howard, who ALWAYS grabs the rebound and brings the ball down to his waist level, is a star center…

you’d get thrown out of 8th grade basketball team for getting a board and not keeping it high…..

Oden was the smart choice….now it turns out…Oden is gonna be modern day bowie and modern day bill walton(without the ring) …..had he stays healthy..and just averaged 15 and 10….it would have panned out…

  19. @ get

When Oden was “blowing up” (II) this year and he had that monster game against the Bulls, I said now’s the time to trade dude before he gets hurt. Sure enough, he got hurt. Front court players can be traded for on the regular, a guy like Durant can’t.

Oden/Steve Blake/draft pick or Cunningham for Chris Bosh and a Raptor bum

^ good trade at that time.

Maybe the Blazers can trade him 2 NY for David Lee…

  20. getthesenets says:

    $yk,

Oden wouldn’t have passed the physical exam the other team would have given him before the trade was legit.

His “healthy” leg was the one that failed him the second time….he’s fragile…

the rookie cap protected the blazers from investing any major coin into him, so when that contract expires….no longer their problem.

  21. “His “healthy” leg was the one that failed him the second time…”

    ^ LOL

Meg from “Family Guy” is healthier than that dude…
