I miss the old(er) flicks, that weren’t dripping with CGI & 3D effects. Not that I don’t enjoy it, but movies had a personalities once.
I heard that what happened with the new Freddy joint.
Don’t care for the verses flicks, but the Alien and Aliens movies are classics. Wouldn’t humans being responsible for Aliens contradict the events in Avs.P 1? And how could humans have created an Alien home world???

I read somewhere, who knows, that Rodriguez is concocting ‘Predators’. Really good and interesting, or he flubs it.
I haven’t even peeped AVP: Requiem yet, but I dug the first joint for what it was. Hell, I even give it props b/c it gave a very capable Ms. Sanaa Lathan a shot at being a legitimate heroine.

The person who wrote the article must not have seen “Alien 1”, or “Predator 2”, or “Alien Vs Predator.” All three firmly establish a continuity where the Alien is NOT created by man. The aliens couldnt be engineered by stone age peoples(As seen in the earliest possible human/Alien interaction in an AVP flashback), unless they go and have some Atlantean culture create them.
If you follow Ridley Scotts quote, and the movie and comic book continuity, the Aliens were probably created by the long dead Giant Humanoids whose ship the Aliens were first found in Alien 1. I’m guessing directly from the quote that they were used as a form terra-forming already habitable worlds, and clearing them of hostile sentient life, and allowing the Giant Humanoids to colonize and mine metal(Which is why Ripley was even there in Alien 1, a mining mission). But the Giant Humanoids couldnt contain the creation.
If they were smart he’d utilize the skulls from the ship in Predator 2 as the native races the Aliens had destoyed early in the movie. And make the Predator the race that stopped the world stealing Giant Humanoids, as they not only hunted the Alien, but took the transport of the Aliens back to the Gianit Humanoid ship to destoy the Giant Humanoid society, and steal their technology seting the stage perfectly for perfect continuity of the story line.
