*disclaimer* I live in Oz so I don’t know shit…..racial relations here are a whole different kettle of fish…. the Oz aborigines really get the raw end of it, a copper hurt in the line of duty; headbutted by a dude after tasering said man’s father (..of which dude was acquitted) got a larger payout ($3.3 mil!?) than the family of a father of 4, Mr. Ward, an aboriginal elder who literally cooked to death in the back of a divvy van after an arrest for public drunkenness required his transfer to another lockup for the hearing. (3/4 hours in 50degC without being checked on)
Shit is disgusting. Although I’ve known some staunch ones in my time…Australian (esp WA) Police are overprotected, overindulged, over equipped and just straight weak as piss.
