The Boot Camp Clique Chronicles…

Timberland weather is back. I perused the Timberland website to see if there were any new boots that excited me other than the all suede 7 eye chukka pictured above.

Here is a funky new style from Timberland called the LiteTrace™ Mid Waterproof Hiker along with the matching jacket. The idea with this shoe was to go even lighter in weight than the Cadion hikers by using JUST the waterproof membrane as the boot’s upper.

Minimalism for maximum efficiency. The Cadion hikers were a trailblazing series from Timberland’s Mountain Athletics division. I love that they are still building on the concepts of strength and endurance compared to weight and construction.

The LiteTrace™ Multi-Sport Jacket is on some next level shit because it is fully waterproof and made from recycled COFFEE GROUNDS. WTF?!?

All you will need to wear under this jacket for most of the winter might be a fleece vest and a longsleeve t-shirt.

Timberland weather isn’t just about the boots I will rock either, but the socks I will put on my feet before I put on the boots. The inner layer needs to respect warmth as well as comfort during these cold ass months.

If your sock game isn’t on a trillion then your footwear system isn’t complete. Here are some of the socks I’ll be looking to secure for myself this winter…

Classic Crew 2-Pack
back when Timberland first introduced their socks in the 1990s the iconic tree branding was embroidered only on one foot. I’m happy they smartened up by putting the tree on both legs and using their Smartwool tech to construct these socks.

Cooling Poly Fiber Crew 2-Pack
These are the socks I wear in the dead of winter. They have a knit-in arch support and the poly fibers wick away sweat and moisture. And just in case I decide to wear shorts I have some branding available for #swag purposes.

CoolMax® Poly Crew 2-Pack
Here’s a pair of socks I would wear specifically with the World Hikers or another pair of heavy duty hiking boots. The padded toe and heel sections are where the added comfort will be needed too.

tim

Mountain Athletics® Hiker 2-Pack
I gotta find these socks at one of my retail shops because these joints go perfectly with a pair of Cadion Hikers that Timberland just laced me with as a replacement for some defective fields boots. The knit-in arch, ankle support means that I can forego obvious branding because my comfort will be on… A TRILLLLYYYYONNNNN

tim

SmartWool® PhD® Running Light Mini Sock
These socks are just on some punk smoove dandy shit, and sometimes I’m on some punk smoove dandy shit with my Tims. Sometimes you just wanna be wool lite.

Timberland sock tech benefitted when they acquired SmartWool brand. My company (The North Face) and Timberland/Smartwool are now “sister” companies after our corporate parent bought Jeffrey out a few months back. Still waiting to see if any cross-pollination will occur.
