STEELERS… I like Adalius and the Gang to do damage in the playoffs but they’ve got nothing to play for and Pittsburgh has a lot.
FALCONS… S Dot, Wienke may have the worst winning percentage as a starter who’s played as many games. Or best losing percentage. But I think Steve Spurrier, another Heisman-winning quarterback who went to school in the Sunshine State, gives Weinke a run for his pocket change. Spurrier finished his career with 14 straight losses for that winless Bucs team of 1976. (BTW — Wienke vs. Vick is the same QB matchup as the national championship game seven years ago.)
SAINTS… They’ve got a better record on the road than the Giants do at home, they’re playing for a #2 playoff seed, AND they’re a tougher team than the G-boys.
BROWNS… Cleveland, OH vs. Tampa Bay, FL — percursor to the college national championship?
TITANS… Vince Young!
REDSKINS… Shee-it, I’m officially optimistic about 2007 if my ‘Skins get two straight wins on the road against dome teams.
49ERS… the winning QB played with Reggie Bush in high school, the losing QB played with Reggie Bush in college.

Good point about Steve Spurrier.
Here’s my counterpoint as to why Chris Weinke is the worst QB of all time–he’s had these guys to pass to in ’01 and ’06:
Steve Smith, Mushin Muhammed, Wesley Walls (43 catches in ’01), Patrick Jeffers (best white receiver not named McCaffrey, Proehl, Largent or Beebee), Keyshawn Johnson and Drew Carter.
Granted, that’s not enough to win a Super Bowl or anything but to go 1-17 with Steve Smith, one of the most dominant WR’s in the game who happens to cause wins whenever he has big game? That’s truly a feat to behold.
PS. The last game Chris Weinke won was the last game I ever gambled. Opening day 2001 on the road against Minnesota, who had Culpepper, Moss, Cris Carter, Jake Reed and Michael Bennet. That bald prick cost me $75, then proceeded to lose every single start the rest of his career. Asshole.
