The co-founder and the creative vision for the L.R.G. clothing line passed away yesterday.
I actually met dude at a party in the Jeff Staple store Reed Space. Any of you still have the LRG etched Courvosier cognac glasses that I mailed out please give up a prayer for Jonas Bevacqua.
Jonas was cool and humble and talked about the inspiration that Polo Ralph Lauren gave him as a kid coming up. When he got the chance to create his own line of gear he flipped a design out of respect to the lifestyle.
I caught that piece pictured above at AJ Wright for mere pennies and eBayed it for a princely sum. You have to really respect the P.R.L. line he was shouting out. 1992 was one of the greatest years in the lifestyle.
Jonas Bevacqua, Rest In Polo
R.I.P. to him. May L.R.G. keep the good work.
I still got a bunch of LRG pieces in the crib. That was one of my first brands I got into like that. RIP.
I agree with malcolm lrg was a brand I got in heavy on. Still to me they make the best denim have the best cuts. R.I.P. hope the people at lrg can keep up the quality
