Video Games >>> NBA Games…

live

Everyone is all pissy that Allen Iverson was voted to the starting squad of the 2010 NBA All-Star game but it could have been worse…

Tracy McGrady almost beat out Steve Nash for a Western Conference starting spot. I don’t even think Tracy McGrady has started a game this season. So who are the fans voting into the All-Star game? The fans are voting on the EA Sports avatars of these professional players.

McGrady never has a bad back on the Xbox360.

TMac probably actually beat Nash in votes.

As of last week, when they used to run the vote totals in that ticker on the bottom of the screen…..mac was way ahead of nash….

    nba pulling a fast one

IT only helps TMac when he gets traded to Vancouver or Seattle

I stopped voting along time ago. It’s a bunch of kids who vote for their fav player, versus the cats who deserve the spot.

Tmac. AI. Maybe Gunrunna Gil should be up there too. No shots, or pun intended.

I’m glad Shannon Brown’s in the dunk contest, though. Dude has hoops.

    Co-sign Grands

Derrick Rose or Rondo are waaaay more deserving of Iverson’s spot. Granted, the all-star game is primarily for the fans, but the NBA needs to find some sort of balance. T-Mac? REALLY?

    Much love to NBA 2k10.

see the thing is…at the end of the year…..the all nba first, second, and 3rd teams come out and those are the REAL ballers.

the all star game is politics and has always been

I used to be a NETS fan….and in his final year in the league…Drazen Petrovic should have gotten a reserve spot…but the coaches picked joe dumars instead…. DP was on FIRE that year……he was hurting the nba that year…..

JD was a GREAT player……good person…but he didn’t deserve the slot that year…….
don’t get me started on how many times Dikembe made it strictly because there HAD to be a center

We can’t really front on the league for using this system that is fan-based. Games like NBA 2K and Live are going multi-platinum whgile other media like CDs and DVDs is in the shitter.

If the fans want to see their favorite video game come to life the Association is just employing a better business model by giving the people what they want.

  7. sealsaa says:

^Business acumen aside, Rondo and Rose playing second fiddle to Iverson is some o’l bullshit. Either one of them could run circles around Iverson, and have done so statistically this season, as well as the previous two.

  8. getthesenets says:

they aired an old nba all star game..the one where tom chambers blew up and got mvp….Doctor J was in it…

I’m sure there were more deserving 2-3 or whatever position doc played that year…but there he was…

  9. Them ASG’s are boring. T-mac’s a bum.

  10. sealsaa says:

^Blasphemer! Mac was to Orlando what Lebron is to Cleveland. His name belongs in the running with D. Wade, Melo, Kobe and Bron.

  11. getthesenets says:

    sealsaa,

always remember and never forget that a Black man became prez. BEFORE T mac got out of the 1st round of the playoffs

  12. jetsxtaylorgang says:

Getthesenets, while I do agree with you that present day tmac is a bum, If you look back at his career, from when he and vincanity aka air Canada were ballin in Toronto, he has a huge fan following. That following followed him to Orlando, where he actually played allstar type basketball, and where his fans probably doubled or trippled. Now, his injured ass is in Houston and still has those blind fans that continue to give him the type of love that a real baller deserves. In a nut shell, tmac, ur career is over. In 20 years he and grant hill will be noted in the same conversation. (even though hill had Jordan like potential)

  13. getthesenets says:

I think tmac, when healthy is a GREAT regular season player.

but playoffs is a different story…

.would have loved to seen what he and hill* would/could/should have done…

tmac in his prime should have been a complimentary player, NOT the star…

he should have played for a team with a beast big man…..he would have done damage in the playoffs on a team with inside outside punch

*yeah grant hill never smelled the second round either….he gets props from me for battling back to play..even though he had guaranteed contract.
