Still Classic…

This series written by Chris Claremont and penciled by Frank Miller was first published in 1982.

Damn I’m old…

Casimir from the IC’s just made a fantastic movie about his ‘Childhood Sale’. If you ever collected anything in your life you will love this video. Excelsior true believers.

    Damn, Cas’ movie was dope.

I was recently cleaning out my room in my parents’ house and came across my old comics and basketball cards. My initial though was: weren’t these supposed to pay for my retirement? Still, it’s not like I threw them out or tried to part with them, but the ambivalence was palpable.

I have that book. I remember paying a dollar for it. Everybody around my way was on Spider-Man’s sack but even when I was little, I always thought Logan was the shit.

No offense but it sounds like his bitch is making him sell all his shit.

My bitch approached me on some grow up and sell your books and castle greyskull shit. I said, bitch… these books were my friends growing up, you don’t do shit like that to your friends.

This had to be some of the saddest shit I’ve seen in life.

    Fuck that.

Wow…made me think about my comic book & baseball card collection that I had as a kid. I still don’t know what happen to my stuff, but they are all gone. I left my entire collection with my best friend, when I went to the military in 1995.

My parents were in the process of moving out of our house & I didn’t want my collection getting fuxed up. I leave them with my best friend. I come back to Queens in 7 months from boot camp & other training. Go to retrieve my collection & he says he had them in storage.

Cool, I go back to North Carolina & do my thing. Once my parents got situated with another spot, I went to get my collection. My boy tells me he couldn’t keep the storage payments up & he lost my collection….smh. I still have a doodyface from that moment.

We beefed for a couple of months, but we are cool now. The lesson I learned is that “no one will care about ur stuff the way u do” so anything that is important to me, I keep with me.

    1. Why are his parents being “kicked out”? Were they bad tenants?
    2. Is there not s single one Black person living in his parents’ neighborhood?
    3. I wouldn’t have sold my original copies of Watchmen and Sandman.
    4. He had a great collection, but right now, all I fux w are digital copies.
