A MOMENT OF SILENCE…

mascot

For my brother from another mother, JASON RAY, who attended the University of North Carolina and was the team mascot. My dream is to one day return to college and to wear the costume of the sports teams mascot. When I do, it will be with the memory of my fallen brother who lost his life doing what he loved the most.

A moment of silence goes out to all of you who have crapped out of the college basketball pool. There’s always two ways to win at DP Dot Com and the Bonus Points pool administered by LM will be completed by this weekend. I’ll be sad when this shit is all over, maybe we’ll do a pool for the NBA Playoffs? Let me know what you think?

Here’s the current Bonus Points tally…

P-CITY = 8
LM = 6
CASHUS CLAY = 5
The DALLAS = 3
SASHA = 3
CB4 = 2
J trademark = 4

In the meantime and in between time I will hold on to my dream of becoming a school mascot. You do know that you are allowed to do anything you want to a co-ed as long as you have the costume on.

    damn…that’s too bad about homie. life sure can be shitty sometimes…

    that would be cool to be a college mascot. i could get in that costume and act a damn fool, do some locking, etc.

    on another note, i’ve really enjoyed this college basketball pool (and i’m not even really into sports like that – i always chuckle to myself when i see the title of your blog section “sports are gay”).

    anyway, you should def. do one for the NBA playoffs.

    Damn, that’s horrible with the mascot… did you actually know him?

    On a less serious note – did we all just get 0 for the conference question, since a couple of them got 1 team in? Not only am I sucking in the actual pool, but also in the bonus points!
    And also, I’d be down for an NBA playoff pool if you decide to make one.

    @twerkolator: I bet they’d have the games on at a bar… or, if your internet is seperate from your TV I think you can watch the games on http://www.ncaasports.com/mmod … but maybe that was just for the 1st couple rounds.

    That goat Ewing Jr. and Georgetown blew my damn bracket! They better win the champs now. At least then I can go downtown and go wild like everyone else.

    Seeing this post just brought me out of my funk. After my bracket blew up I started drinking and haven’t left the house.

  8. CB4 says:

    @twerkolator: sheeeit… that sucks. Well, worst case, if you don’t get net or TV back, you can actually watch the replays of the games on that same website… but we all know that’s not nearly as good.

    Was traveling Sunday, so I listened to the Georgetown-Carolina game on the radio, same as I did the ’82 championship that featured Jordan’s first famous game-winner. (Lived in Puerto Rico then and there was no live feed on TV.) Not saying that I wouldn’t have preferred watching, but radio ain’t half-bad.
