TOTALLY DUDE!
BARACK OBAAMA is like a rockstar politician. His demeanor is so drastically different from most politicians. OBAAMA is so smooth and affable he makes BILL CLINTON look uptight and insincere. With all that charisma I still have no idea what a presidency from this man seeks to achieve.
The first non-100% white person to hold the office?
Seriously, who the fuck cares?
Can OBAAMA bridge the gaps that separate people socially, economically and spiritually?
The bad part is if he actually can he won’t last…name someone who moved society forward in a positive manner that died of natural causes.
Holds up.
We are so used to being led by anal psudo soul bearing crackers, we actually doubt the first dude with 50% melanin? Come on, I’m all for hatin and doubtin, but for fucks sake, what could be worse than another 8 years of Bill Clinton? I think you guys are WAY off base, and as much as I hold both of you in the highest regard, you are missing the boat on this one.
“If democracy exists, it exists here in the commuter train terminal…where everyone can come and lay down and wait for something.”
wow.
Only you can bring democracy to light in such a fashion…
i was told once to never trust a doctor to heal who couldn’t dance because that meant he wasn’t intact with his own soul….so i wonder that means for the leader of the free world?
he will open up talks with islamic nations, and bring iraqi troops home. that alone has me on board.
also.. hes got good ideas for poor peoples healthcare, and when he gets rid of this war spending, the economy will turn around and that will help everybody from the poorest to the richest.
obviously he isnt a magician… we’ll all still have problems, and those problems wont be in the realm of the federal government’s concerns. The problems of affordable housing, and equal opportunities will have to be dealt with on a local level….
but its a step in the right direction to elect obama, can you at least give me that?
It ain’t like the dude has been running for president for a year and half, went thru 19 debates, authored 2 books about his biography and outlook for the country, or has a website with his position papers…if you want to know what he wants to achieve or what his plans are to bridge the gaps–look that ish up.
aint that the truth
@ daesonesb
Just curious my man…
I see you putting things that aren’t in the realm of federal government in a paragraph by its self. That can only lead me to assume that you think healthcare is the responsibility of the government. When did it become their responsibility, or is there anything in the constitution that would lead you to believe so?
In my opinion, the government needs to shake down trial lawyers and the greedy pharmaceutical and health insurance complex way before they start talking “free” healthcare.
And before you respond, I just want you to know that I’m not some heartless bastard. I’m all for helping the poor with healthcare … to a point. I’m just completely against socialized healthcare, as it’s proven its self to be a failure time and time again.
yadda, yadda, yadda
I didn’t know that White walked around barefoot up top.
I thought only the white folks down here did that shit.
By the way, if and when Obama is elected. It doesn’t matter how well he does, or what he changes. Because THEY are going to blame him for every fucking thing.
A year from now, when gas is fucking $7 a gallon, no one is going to blame Bush they are going to put all that shit on Obama.
And Because he does have 50% melanin, he’s not going to get the benefit of the doubt.
Meaning, never mind the mess President Bush leaves the country in, everything is going to be Obama’s fault because of ‘his inexperience’.
C’mon now, you all know we are not playing by the same set of rules.
@ FaTBoY
Settle down… It works like that with every new administration. According to Bush inc., everything good that the country prospered from was their own doing, and everything bad that happened was because of something Clinton years ago, according to them. It’s like that every time, no need to get upset and start pointing fingers at “THEY” already.
And the price of gas is never any president’s fault. It’s our dollar being worth shit because we Americans and the government live on credit and have nothing to back up the value of our dollar except empty promises. It’s that fact that shook environmentalists stopped refineries from built and oil being drilled in the U.S. It’s the fact of greedy ass oil execs along with speculators getting their.
But yes, that $7 gas is going to be harder to afford when Obama is taxing us at a much higher rate, like he has stated he would.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Gas, smas, fuck that. It’s the war making all of this fuckery possible in the first place. Any raised taxes (fuck what “they” will tell you) are a direct result of the war and all it’s entities. Blackwater included. It’s motherfuckers needing to get PAID. The Dow wasn’t down 400 points because cats in Detroit are building big ass gas guzzling SUV’s, it’s all fucked up because motherfuckers are buying BARRELLS of oil and hording them for the collapse of this fucking country.
If anything ,THAT will be Obama’s fault.
PS- and anyone would have to admit, Obama puts up a damn good show of being cool as a motherfucking fan.
@ J™
I always hear people say healthcare or business or whatever isn’t the governments responsibility. My thing is the government doesn’t take the responsibility it should. The gov should protect the citizens and therefore itself.
If this was the thought before companies started outsourcing then we’d actually make something (besides credit debt) and our money would have some value.
That video is proof that we indeed live in a democracy. What a country where one can nap in a public terminal, with folks from all walks of life!
Who the fuck cares? I know I don’t give a shit.
1. Obama isn’t going to open up talks with Muslim nations. He is too busy cooning for Israel.
2. Fatboy is correct. When the inevitable happens and the next couple of years are TERRIBLE, America will blame the Blacks, and we won’t have a REAL Black American for president for another century or however the hell long.
3. Amadeo is correct. If Obama addressed the Black agenda or showed any viable signs of genuine negritude whatsoever, he would be assassinated or, at best, never re-elected. That means that probably isn’t going to happen.
4. This nomination doesn’t do and his possible assent to presidency won’t do shit leading to equity for Black people because nothing in Barack Obama’s power will change the culture of poverty myths surrounding us.
P.S. He isn’t even the first non-100% white president we’ve had. Several presidents had ancestors that had jumped the fence.
Jen has a point.
As long as the US stays all butt buddyish with the Israelis…any Middle East “talks” aren’t going to get too far. You know how long our leaders have been “talking” and “negotiating” between Israel and Palestine? And it never gets any better. You can’t talk to your opposition about being on their side, when you’re still showing ultimate love to THEIR enemy.
And thus, that portion of the world will probably still hate us for the next four years, considering our decisions on how to allocate our funds to other countries is a big no-no to countries like Iraq and Iran. Nevermind that there’s rampant racism floating around over there that doesn’t help our case either.
Makes me wanna move to Canada or something.
Yeah, democracy starts with too much alcohol.
I think The ‘Rack can only follow the Democratic platform and hope it still works in the shitty ass climate we live in today. Let’s not twist it; it still relies on the old way, unless change is more than just a catchphrase for a candidacy…
But what he does, as far as I see it, is make white people who have not yet come to terms that African-Americans aren’t going back to Africa, therefore white people need to get used to us being great, just like them.
Katt Williams made a great point at a comedy show Sunday night in Birmingham. He was like, “Look at the presidential history books: white, white, white, white, white, white, white…. Look at the vice-presidential books: white, white, white, white, white…”
Just let black people be proud of Obama for a minute, white people! Then let’s see if he actually can lead.
Not to mention that I keep hearing that he’s down with the Tri-Lateral Commission.Damn, that one was a drunken fuckfest of comment. Somewhere in there, I meant to say “comfortable.”
Figure it out. I’m still drunk.
^ The Trilateral Commission reference was money.
To the guy earlier
I’ve lived in canada, and ive lived in america. say what you want about socialized medicine, but when i was in canada, and I hurt my neck bad, and another time got bronchitis, I was taken care of for next to no money. In the US, I can barely afford to even get checked up…
Socialized medicine is taking care of my grandparents, and makes it so the rich cant use their purchasing power to keep all the countries most valuable medical resources for themselves.
You sound like a ron paul supporter… are you?
