I’m getting dressed up for this concert at Wingate Field. I want to take Chocolate Snowflake to a real nice restaurant in Sheepshead Bay or on Flatbush Ave. After that we will go watch Mrs. LaBELLE shake the buildings to their very foundations.
She is a special and rare talent. Not too many people can extract the emotion from me that PATTI LaBELLE can. JILL SCOTT, MARY J. BLIGE, even MARIAH CAREY (who I’ve seen live and been in love with too until the fall) are all just pieces of PATTI.
I want this to be a special night for me and my lady because PATTI LaBELLE was part of our soundtrack in Paris.

Patti is funny. She brought some fans up on stage to have them dance…she starts getting on this one dude about how he was a jive “ripe”…then she grabs some of her perfum and sprays it on him.

I saw Patti in New Orleans about five years ago. She was jammin’. Kicked her shoes off and started rolling around on the floor. Then all of a sudden she went off on this chick in the front row. Not sure why but from what I heard she was making faces at Patti that she didn’t like. Patti told her she could leave! I was like “dayum” Patti!!!
