Get Your Hand Out My Pocket!

ebay

I fucks with eBay directly and by extension through my use of PayPal since eBay own’s that website. PayPal is a convenient way to trade money for goods and services because the website looks so damn officious.

Quiet as shit is kept PayPal is also a bastion for thieves who have figured ways to manipulate that system as well. I’ve learned my lesson the hard way that you had better keep your tracking slips and shipping receipts for a few months after a transaction so that in case your buyer files a complaint you won’t get your account shut down.

eBay makes a grip off handling people’s money through the PayPal service. So much so they have decided to mandate a PayPal account for ALL of their users beginning in October. I feel a kind of way about this news. Checks, and by extension, checking accounts are being phased out of consumer transactions. Debit cards, with the function as credit cards are the norm for most people’s transactions, mine included. Cash is now firmly holding the stigma as the method of payment for only poor folks.

The truth is that I would use cash if I wasn’t so poor my damn self. I have $25 in my account before payday and I will be damned if I give $2 of that away to another banking institution as a transaction fee. Keep in mind that my bank will also be taking $1.50 of that total for their “out of network” fee. reminds me of the time I only had $21.48 in my account and I did an inquiry from a bank that didn’t hold my account. The bank charged me $1.50 and that dipped my balance below the $20 mark so I couldn’t even make a withdrawl when I did get to my bank’s ATM.

As shit gets more fucked the fuck up economically we need to be vigilant for all of these services that extract fees for no good gotdamn reason. These banking bastards be charging us to hold our money. At least a check cashing spot tells you what they are going to take from you the second you walk across the threshold. These banks and fake ass financial services companies live off the people that don’t read the fine print. I’m one of those people. Not so much anymore since the fine print is all I have to read other than the negative balances in my account.

D…these theivin’ ass banks are getting ridiculous….I don’t have enough credit to get a loosie on lay-away, yet these banks still find ways to eff with my money. just yesterday I had to hand cuff my damn self lest I go out and assinate a bank official….even though it wifey fault I cant blame her. For some damn reason she thought it was okay to use her debit card to buy her train ticket, 3.75. Now she did three times..with out actually checking her balance….it went through easy enough, so she thought every thing was gravy…so why we just get a over-limit charges for $105 dollars?

Mind you I could of have given her the dough if woulda just asked, but she gets lazy like that for no apparent reason…but damn!!!! $35 charge for $3.75 purchase? X 3!!!!!!!… if that shit ain’t ridiculous?

Ok…getting a little blood eyed again..need to stop drinkin caffeine….

I got one word of advice on Paypal: DO NOT ATTACH YOUR BANK/ATM DEBIT CARD TO YOUR ACCOUNT. Just a few weeks ago, I had the day off and was feeling good, then I get a call from the Mrs. that there was a $1000.00 transaction from paypal debited from our bank account. Now that was rent/bills/survival money and just like that we were broke and paypal said it was gonna take 10 days to process/research the issue. Thank jeebus our bank(who are usually asswhipes)came through and treated the transaction like identity theft and spotted the money back until paypal corrected the error a week later. Paypal still hasnt told us why it happened. I was gonna go back to the good ole days of using money orders for my ebay addiction but looks like that aint happening come Oct.

damn this shit struck a chord with a brotha…I can see why an institution like paypal is making such change…i mean shit aint red cross they in the game to make pesos like every other money hungry institution, however while they’re greed is on a high ass level they need to insure thier IT and fraud protection levels are on (no bitchassness) level red AS WELL. I already know with this change shit is gonna have a plethora of crime attached to it…and the banks stay rapin a ninja man…

Spot on dunny. That’s why I had to ether my Paypal and Citibank account. Paypal is ultra inconvenient to use and Citibank is illegal. I can’t even count how many times Citibank has tried to kill my funds with false overdraft fees. I had to call them up a million times and set the record straight. Unless you are about to put a shoe on their ass they won’t even attempt to give you decent customer service.

But I am happy that the subprime crisis is killing these banks. Citibank is probably going to get some part of it bailed out or nationalized. A lot of people lost their homes, shirts, and even the skin on their backs. If Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac get nationalized, private property is over. You have to hold a cash grip on you nowadays.
