If China is any indicator of the shit we will be into 100 years from now, and I believe they are because they had their own industrial revolution in 1 A.D., we will be rioting in the streets for access to women. That is the message I take from the new Jay-Z music video for the single ‘We Run This Town’.
As far as futuristic post-urban dystopias are concerned I have to give props to 2Pac’s ‘California Love‘ over the ‘Run This Town’ video and you know that I don’t even fux with 2Pac like that. Firstly, 2Pac had broads in his video while Jay-Z’s only has shirtless boys holding flaming sticks [ll]. Forget the fact that Jay-Z’s lyrics say that “We got a banquette full of broads, they got a table full of fellas”.
No sir, you have a video full of dudes.
A few folks on the TWitter have made a correlation between the ‘Run This Town’ and ‘California Love’ videos, and the mother(literally) of all future apocalyptic scenes – Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome will always be the G.O.A.T. Thanks to TINA TURNER aka Auntie EnTity(emphasis on the titty – see what I just did?). Maybe when RIHANNA turns 50yrs old and she is still as beatable (no Chris Brown) as TINA was I might have to reconsider.

This video would have been 10x better if Jay-Z wasn’t in it looking like the Grim Reaper with that hood on. Dude isn’t ageing well at all. That being said, it was one of the better videos I’ve seen as of late. California Love wins cause it wasn’t just filmed in a tunnel like this one, but also cause they had Roger Troutman in costume with the vocoder tube in his mouth and George Clinton wearing his everyday clothes.
And I think Rih just might look as good as Tina in 2047. If she does her daily nam-myoho-renge-kyo’s like Tina she should be straight.

The video was garbage. No one wants to see Hov, Ye, or RiRi in some fucking post apocalyptic nightmare. We want that money, cash, and hoes from them and they didn’t deliver. I need to see Hov in the shit you only see in robb report not a fucking sewer with a bunch of dirty motherfuckas. imo.
On the one hand, I’m tired o the same old videos we’ve seen the last 20 years, but then when something’s a little too far left, then I’m still not satisfied.
The video’s cool, it just doesn’t really move me. Maybe they should’ve had RiRi topless, with them thangs blurred out. It’s not like we ALL didn’t see them already anyway.
