Bizarro B-Ball…

bizarro

What else can you call the team with one of the Association’s worst records serving a facial to the team with one of the league’s elite records? The Knicks should make GALLINARI their franchise player for at least the rest of the season. When you have a white guy who can pop from the arc and pull down double digit rebounds picking up Iverson would have been nothing more than Affirmative Action and we all know that AA shit is dead and stinking.

Around the Association…

Iverson back to Philly. Who the fux cares?

New Orleans is asscheeks with CP3, Okafor, West and Posey? Byron Scott took the fall but there is something rotten in the Hornets lockerroom.

Adam Morrison will have a championship ring before LeBron James does.

Kevin Durant > LeBron James

    DP!

Adam’s is comfortably cruising to his second ring. Him & Shannon “I’m not Chris’ brother!” Brown. Lebron hasn’t been the same since he had dude’s testicles @ eye level & smelled his sweaty thighs… [||]

AI’s going back to Philly? Wow. He might as well go on & drop that album now, while his “stock” is, ummm, up. I think he should’ve retired, went out on his scruples & integrity-like he’s been doing since his first tat (because he was mad clean cut @ Georgetown). Coming back to a bitten hand that fed you is the shit that gets pit bulls killed by their masters.

I know I said it already, but I can’t stop. Lake Show ftmfw!

As an unwavering Knick fan I enjoyed last night’s game. Gallo is gonna be alright, I’m a fan. Its a small win for the Knicks and we’re gonna have a lot more worse losses. We’re just paying the piper for fiscal mismanagement like everything else in this nation. I’m just gonna stink eye all the bandwagon Knick fans who “return” after the FA signings next year. As Biggie said in the intro to Juicy – “fuckallyallhoes!”

    KNICK FAN FOR LIFE….

PS – I saw “Chop Shop” and I’d be dammed if the lead kid Alejandro didn’t look like a young Dallas Penn (based on pics he’s posted of himself)

  3. dmitry aka brooklyn jew says:

hold up WAT Durant>LeBron? ur kidding right. ok da Durant just averages more rebounds den LeBron. If da cavs and da thunder played each other i assume both players would guard each other wit da position and height factor dat dey match up wit. LeBron would body dat tooth pick Durant. Yea dude can score, but if Durant gets in da lane LeBron would pin dat ball against da back board.

I hope the Association gets more interesante after football season is over because that shit is boring right now. Even when the Bulls were running the league it wasn’t this dry

  5. 40, you’re gonna shame me when I come back around but I still gotta say something like, man… remember when New York had professional ball?

Knicks versus Celtics or Sixers at the Garden on Christmas Day?

Stop into Show World or one of the peeps on the Deuce, maybe a run down to Tower Records too?

Seriously, since unlike my weak-ass self have been unwavering, did you have similar feelings of dread during the late Van Gundy era? Like there’s just something WRONG with this team– way too many collapses and other mental lapses, the WWDJ nonsense, etc.

Speaking of Biggie, I was at BPL yesterday re-reading March ’97 newspaper articles and there it is, March 10, 1997 Daily News–

KNICKS MOURN PAL THEY PARTIED WITH IN CALIF.

“It’s a shame,” said Charles Oakley. “We saw Biggie while we were out in L.A. and hung out with him. We all grooved to him. You just hate to hear about stuff like that.”

Chris Childs and John Wallace (“may be the biggest hip-hop fan on the team”) were also quoted.

    Never forget–

  6. I wish Cleveland had found a legit second banana for LBJ, instead of Shaq. Shaq is more of a hindrance than help. Eventually, I think there will be some post-season ugliness with a chance of a Shaq freestyle asking LBJ about the taste of his ass.

LBJ needs a Pippenesque player and some solid role guys. Due to this, we won’t see the Kobe vs. LBJ Finals which I think would reinvigorate the league.

That said, I’m happy the Knicks won. Il Gallo finally stepping up.

40, you make me proud and let me know that I’m not alone in my fanaticism, misery and desolation.

It’s been painful to watch but I’m enjoy watching David Lee blossom into the next Oakley or the next Kurt Thomas for the NY Knicks . . . a solid strong baller player with a serious defensive, blue-collar workman ethic.

    Wassup with Nate Robinson?

  8. the_dallas says:

One of my fave Knick moments was when the Finals against Houston were pre-empted for the broadcast of the OJ white Bronco video. After what seemed like forever and the game came back on the Knicks were never the same. OJ may not have killed his wife and her coke buddy boy toy but he def killed my Knicks chances for a championship

  9. Enigmatik says:

    What up DP…

Adam Morrison already does have a ring…he was on the squad that beat the Magic last year.

    http://bit.ly/4t38OL

    AM – 1
    LBJ – 0

  10. Rob says:

Yup, Morrrison def gettin 2nd ring before Bron gets his first. sheeeit, Morrison gettin his 3rd ring before Bron gets his first one!

Oh, but i dont know about Kevin Durant>Lebron James though. KD can score and all but Lebron does everything else much better.

Laker fan born and raised but i always respected the knicks teams of my youth. The toughness of the Oakleys, LJ, Mason and’em. We never had a mean bunch like that out here

  11. ^^^^^^^

OG! I was watching the game w/a friend of mine who’d just had polyp surgery on his throat and he couldn’t talk or else he’d end up sounding like Miles Davis… needless to say, ** I ** was yelling at OJ, Al Cowlings etc and my friend was gesturing madly.

    DP, you remember this?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lP8TwjRMdS0

It’s so wrong but… from the heart of a Knicks fan, I understand.

  12. ovid bowsprit says:

I’m so glad Shaq is acting as sea anchor for Cleveland. He goes from the top team city to obscure wannabe city to retirement city to…Cleveland. What’s next?

  13. Tony Grands says:

“LBJ needs a Pippenesque player and some solid role guys”

^^^Last year, you couldn’t pay me to believe Mo Williams wouldn’t fall into @ least one of those categories this year.

  14. the_dallas says:

Enigmatik, thx for that info. So I guess I can conclude that…

    Adam Morrison > LeBron James

  15. 40 says:

Good to see some other fans in the fold here. Great memories there Willis, and there are dome points you make there, but the Knicks WILL RETURN. Lest we all forget the shitshow in the BX that were the Yankees of the 80s-early 90s?. Vee we’ll be alright. Dallas I remember that game/OJ chase. Summer of 1994 and the last time I ever drank gin (after drinking a half-gal of Seagrams for dolo over the course of the game & the subsequent win – it’s definitely blog worthy!!!)

  16. 40 says:

PS – Fuck Spike Lee for his oral ballwashing of Kobe. The documentary was one thing, but braying like a jackass courtside of the Finals at the Staples Center was egregiously reprehensible. You’d never catch Nicholson doing that shit. My interactions with The Cricket have been tepid at best, last time I was at an event with him I asked “How many Laker games you catching this season?”. Fuck him.

  17. Wait, Spike’s been jocking Kobe, aside from the documentary? I think this is a sign of the apocalypse.

  18. Mark Dub says:

New Orleans sucks b/c our team’s owner doens’t want to spend any money and pursue some folks that could really help us. We can’t trade Peja’s “invisible man on defense” ass, we didn’t even pursue players like Ariza, Artest, Vince Carter, etc., and upon his return to the league, we didn’t try to get Janero Pargo back, and let him go to the bulls. If George Shin doesn’t get his shit together, we’re gonna eff around and lose CP3, which is prolly the best thing to happen to N.O. since Drew Brees. And yeah…the Saints drop was intentional. 11-0 is SO EFFIN SWEET!!!

  19. SIC Beats says:

Kevin Durant > LeBron James ?!?!? DP, u buggin..lol. Durant is nice though.

As for GALLINARI, he is not consistent.

  20. Rob says:

yo, you gotta read this story about Artest. Dude talks about sippin henney during halftime when he played with the Bulls!

this is the largest congregation of knick fans i’ve seen in a long time.

  22. $ykotic/Don McCaine says:

“but there is something rotten in the Hornets lockerroom.”

Same thing I’m thinking about the Blazers right now, although I stay telling these dudes they f***ed up by picking Oden instead of Durant.

I would love to see Allan Houston & Oak as assistants with Ewing coaching…

    Where’s Charlie Ward?

I bet you Elton Brand wants to play now.

And the New York Americans failed when they let Rick Barry & Julius go. Jason Kidd should be in line as their next coach.

  23. $ykotic/Don McCaine says:

And the Knicks should go back to them checkerboard jerseys…ugliness can cause fear…ask the Boise St. Broncos with that blue turf monstrosity…

  24. $kyotic, you missed a week or two back when I joked about Charlie Fucking Ward, probably (hopefully) selling cars in Florida now.

Co-sign Oakley– I still rock a #34– disagree on Allan Houston: NO WWJD FREAKS on the Knicks again, ever, please.

Do you know how many post-game interviews I suffered through listening to this ass praise the lord who makes all things possible because he did or, more likely, did NOT hit the three?

Yeah schmuck, the Lord works in mysterious ways.

just googled this, I’m speechless save… HOLY FUCK–

    http://www.busanut.org/wwjd/flash.html

  25. the_dallas says:

    Rob,
That is why Artest is one of the most hardbody dudes to ever play in the league.

Kenny Anderson was the worst nightclub drinker I ever saw. He used to be at the Funk Flex parties at Club Speed all twist rock and steady getting thrown out by the bouncers.

  26. $ykotic/Don McCaine says:

    @ WWIB

“NO WWJD FREAKS on the Knicks again, ever, please.”

I thought it was Houston, Ward & Rick Brunson, instead of Kurt Thomas

Milk carton for Chris Childs and Shandon Anderson!

But real talk they should have let Herb Williams coach.

  27. the_dallas says:

    $yk,
Fux Rick Brunson [ll]. I always felt bad for Ward because he was a Heisman winner who couldn’t get any substantial gridiron offers. Herb Williams was a good dude but I don’t think he was ready for the reins as a head coach. Herb needs to sit on the bench of a winner. He needs that type of pedigree more for the bad players he will coach rather than the good ones

  28. Tony Grands says:

It took Artest long enough for bug out. Dudes challenging Big Ben…

  29. 1969 says:

Dallas….I too, always felt that OJ killed the Knicks when his Bronco run interrupted the playoff game. Well, OJ and Charles Smith.

  30. SIC Beats says:

Only Bumb ass negro on the Knicks i despised till this day is Allen Houston. He was waste. And they gave him too much money. I heard back in the day that he had serious vertical leap that he never used. Bum ass negro.
