Jamaica has one single avenue for feeding its people and that is being taken away from them.
It’s not like the Jamaicans are being conscripted to traffick cocaine, the Mexicans are doing that shit hardbody.
Jamaicans have weed and Christy’s of Flatbush Ave beef patties and that is it. So it’s no small wonder that civilians are willing to die for their weed owners. No one else is putting bread on their tables. Certainly not the government which has been hamstrung by the International Monetary Fund.
Someone better tall these rich folks to come up off of some of their stacks so that these poor people can get a meal. Jamaica isn’t much different from Camden, New Orleans, Detroit, or Brooklyn.
Here’s my un-official, non-expert advise to Jamaica.
Keep it business as usual. Let Mr. Coke and his associates do their thing AS long as they’re not hurting tourism or just outright killing innocent folk. Everybody knows where they’re not supposed be or hang out.
In many other countries law enforcement agencies offer the cartels, drug runners carte blanche as long as they don’t get crazy.
Not that I really know what’s going on but . . . . they got to eat.
“in the streets its getting hot and the youths them a get so colddd..searching for food for the pot, theyll do anything to fill that gap . . . if education is the key..then tell me why the people have to make it so expensive for we…give them the key oh set them free”

Why aren’t the major news stations covering this story? Sounds serious, but I’ve only really heard it mentioned on the blogs.
“WEED > COKE”
think we’re gonna need a head to head taste test.
I’ve always loved this site, but the fact that you just name-dropped Christy’s makes this the best shit on the internets. DP FTW.
Does anybody know if Jamaica is where ‘Shottas’ was filmed?
*waits for Willis to reply*
shit is crazy….The coke family has been running the the Jamaican garrisons for nearly 50 years, nobody gave a shit then and barely give a shit now. This just stinks of American political involvement, as they have not done shit to quell the violence in Jamaica thus far, so why be concerned now?? They always portray Jamaica as paradise, yeah only only if you stay east of Kingston, and go nowhere near St. Mary or Dunkirk or Clarendon etc.
How do you allow the kingpins to put up garrisons/walls where even the so-called are afraid to tread? I watched a DVD (wish I could remember the name) where the gangs drag the bodies outside the garrisons because the police won’t go in. How do you call yourself a government, where probably 50% (could be higher!) of the elected officials have gang affiliations??
TG..don’t know if it was Jamaica, but it was supposed to be Jamaica. A very tamed Jamaica.

Thanks, y’all.
Its funny too how I see people love to exploit the hardworking immigrant culture that created the ‘dollar’ van industry, but don’t care too tough to find out why them people come here to work like that.
I def don’t celebrate the violence that may result from that most important cash crop which comes from the island but how else these people are supposed to eat?
I don’t know if y’all cats’ news shows all the turbulence in Mexico, but Mexico is going through something similar regarding the drug trade.
Handfuls of people, cop & convict, die daily. & they don’t play that “shoot ’em up” shit, either. I’m talking beheadings, children being murdered in the street, politicians assasinated in their cars…crazy, mayne.
I read in CNN or Faux News that the “War On Drugs,” that started roughly 40 years ago has yielded “no results.” Wtf? So, what the hell have “we” been doing all these years? Never mind. Dumb question.
Christy’s FTW
